Played Xbox360 demos at Walmart

I don't know if you guys don't get it or what, but Wal-Mart's screen placement is intentional. They don't WANT you standing there playing all day. They want you to play for a moment or two, get a stiff neck, and move on.

yeah thats smart make me think more about my hurt neck than wanting to shell out 400 dollars to your business for a system. i know thats how they work, i was just huping to see one of those specialized 360 kiosks

Wal-Mart makes what, 5 cents per Xbox 360 they'll sell? The nice kiosks will be at gaming speciality stores.

There is a long lead time required to get an Xbox demo disc through certification and manufacturing. Xbox 360 should be no different. I'd expect better demos to be available in a few months. Course stores will probably want to put in full retail games when they're available before that happens...

just got back from walmart. COD 2 fucking rocks. Neck pain awful. HDTV setup was screwed up here as well. Spokane, WA shadle shopping center. I smelled really bad so no one else could stand next to me for very long so I got to play as long as I wanted. Seriously though, COD 2 kicked some major BUTT!

What the hell does this mean? Wal-mart is the biggest retailer in the world. They probably make at least as much off a console as the gaming specialty stores, aind maybe even more. And don't even get started on their buying power when it comes to games.

King Kong: DAMMIT, I WANT THIS GAME NOW! The game has to be seen in motion to really notice how good it looks. The screens don't do it justice at all. Simply put, while it definitely still looks not quite next gen as, say Kameo, it does look really nice. The thing that really stands out is the environment and how beautiful and lush it looks. The T-Rex looks good too, but the character models are definitely lacking.

Damn you're the only one talking about Kong. I though people would care more about the game! Hey, i just spent 3 months at 65 hours / week on it. Tks for the impressions!!

Haven't played the demo yet, but the screen shots and video I've seen of it look amazing. I don't think you have to worry. It's going to get a ton of buzz soon enough.

I downloaded the Kong PC demo and thought it was awesome. Probably one of the best movie licensed games I've played. Then again, that's not saying much. :lol

Ugh. Um, I mean, welcome back Wyzdom.

This is the only time I regret New York not having a Wal Mart. I guess I'll just wait the two weeks for a comfortable kiosk in GameSpot or something...

I was at my local EB (Sunrise Mall - Massapequa, NY) - finished off the COD 2 demo.
Uhh - I walked away very unimpressed. I have to agree with a lot of the other posters here - why would you load it up with old demo code....

I am hearing the same thing all over the net from people who played Kameo and Call of Duty at the kiosks.

Apparently no 360 games are using AA. Which explains why we've been seeing jaggies everywhere in the screenshots. And has nothing to do with 'beta devkits' or developers being rushed.

It looks like developers who want AA are going to have to write their engines to support tile based rendering. If the two big name first party titles, Kameo and PDZ, aren't implementing it, the chances that pc developers will write custom versions of their engines seems unlikely.

So much for the 'free AA' BS we've been told.

Maybe you get a free ticket to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting inside the X360 box. Cause after pissing away so much money you'll be hitting the booze for sure :P
