Being in the UK, if I buy/download this from the US Newegg will it work fine? Is it a steam code or something else?

got a solo win today with only 2 kills that took place when there was 10 ppl left. i literally had great loot (kitted m416 with silencer, kitted k98k with silencer that i later switched for a mini-14 with a silencer)
really just kinda landed by my lonesome, got a car, and made my way towards gerogopol where the circle seemed to be ending up.the plane flew from the mid right down to the bottom so nobody was there, and i basicially just kept my positioning the whole game. eventually moved to the Georgopol crates with around 10 left and almost died but turned and popped a kid witht the Mini (love this gun) to make it into the top 2.
stayed in the c rates and boosted, looked out into the field across from me over the fence and saw the last guy crawling and doinked him in the head for the win. felt great. gonna play like that more often.

You can punch them out. It is really hard to line up but you can.

Going with what you said before, you should be able to use the butt of a gun to knock them out. And use the butt of the gun to hit people if needed. I have run out of ammo in a close fight before and that would have been useful.
You should also be able to throw crossbow quivers and ammo clips at people / through windows, wear multiple layers of shirts, have clothing changes take a lot more time than they do, carry 3 pistols or 3 melee weapons, have binoculars, hold scopes up to your eye and use them without a gun, and use throwing knives.
That said, punching or meleeing windows seems very easy to me. It just uses the same crosshair as normal attacks, so you get close to the window, tap X, click the window, tap X.
I had to change my left/right movement keys after the patch last night. I figured it was just a side effect of them removing the crouch jumping macros. But the bug list on Reddit is saying that if you use non-standard movement keys your settings get reset every time you start the game. I'll have to check later....that's kind of annoying if true since I play left handed and use the arrow keys, not WASD.
Why? It's good to know where shots were coming from by seeing a broken window.

You hear window break from shot, other windows may be unbroken. Window thats broken gives you direction of shot.
Funny enough i just won a game, when i was shot at but just missed my head through a window. I knew the direction and angle to hit that window plus seeing me let me locate his location and i got the kill.

Other 2 guys got wiped at the midway point in a big gunfight with another group of 4 for control of a house, we drove to Georgopol afterward, just as we got there the zone moved to the other side so we looked for healing supplies, found one or two and went on foot to get back in as we took fire heading on. Went from building to building, the people who shot at us had moved so eventually we cut toward the edge of the circle and swam under the bridge to get to the bank where we are in the video. Got lucky with the circle and they had to come to us.
It's weird playing third person, that bank is massively advantageous there but would be terrible in fpp.

Say you hear shooting coming from another house in Pochinki and are trying to find the person, it helps if you see where a window was broken. It's helped me and my squad multiple times for sure.

LOL squad lobbies are completely fucked right now. Clothes disappearing, UI refreshes not working, people randomly not making it into the same game as the rest of the team, people disappearing from the menu but still being in the team.
One of my usual squadmates just lost 20+ FPS worth of performance from the new patch and can't get it back with the forced PP and Shadow settings.
I can't wait til this dev loses their Early Access excuse for this shit

Was hoping the maintenance would be like... a defaulting to AS server hotfix or something.
This is from earlier in the day and unrelated to the server message. I've only had this game since August 1st, did it ever actually work correctly before then? Network lag, connection to AS servers, now this.
I've been playing for three weeks and only had server issues the last two nights. Both nights they were doing maintenance for 1 hour.
I mentioned it was unrelated to server stuff because the problem is that the game does not even patch or launch. I have been on Steam since it started and never encountered an issue where a game on Windows wasn't even launching.
Your error sounds like Windows permissions issues. I'd uninstall and reinstall. At least it isn't a 50GB game to have to download again.
edit: right click on the file (the .exe) and see if it says 'blocked'. If so there should be an unblock button. Windows will block .exe files it thinks might be harmful.

I still believe it's possible for the crossbow to do damage, deep in my heart, but I can never manage to prove it. I just had someone about 20 feet away, while I was crouching, they were crouching, I clicked in the center of their chest, I even had a quiver for ultra fun time bonus, and I was aiming down sights. No damage whatsoever.
That was about 20 seconds after I shot at someone else 20-25 feet away, also while we were both crouching, also dead center crosshairs, also no damage.
*edit* Maybe it's more than just the crossbow. I was using the mini-14 just now, which by all accounts is a laser. I was crouched, someone 10-15 feet away was crouched, neither of us were moving, and I clicked on their helmet maybe twice. No damage, or maybe a bodyshot. :/

Remember that sights zero in at 100m (by default), not 0m. If you aim too high bullets will go over targets in close proximity.
I will have to keep that in mind if I scope someone at close range.

It's a constant issue. Search for solution in Google until you find one that works. I had to do it a few times.

yeah ive just looked in to it, i removed the .dll and restarted reshade and all seems fine again. Cheers for the heads up.

I think it just happens randomly. You can keep launching the game until it works. Same issue with Afterburner's OSD. Sometimes BattleEye says no and I get no OSD. So I restart the game until it works.
