I just spent hours learning and making a GIF, I eventually finished it and when I tried to save it.....it crashed and it's all gone! Hurts....
I can't believe I forgot the saving often rule.
I'll probably do it again, but not today, the crash sucked out all motivation.

Its definitely fake but not because of the logo. The first version of each Playstation always have the multi-colored PS logo. Id be very surprised if PS4 didnt have the exact same one.

One thing that's interesting to note is that the first image is heavily compressed while the other images are not. It could of course be just because of the way Imgur handled that specific image but it could also be a way to mask some artifacts that would make the image seem less realistic. Without a source it's difficult to come up with any greater conclusion. As for the design I think it looks very hard to work with.
Also, as for another topic, two relevant IR events happening next week:
I don't expect much from any of these but due to the imminent PlayStation Meeting I would think they would offer something more than just "no comment" if asked about their thoughts on the subject.

Also you might want to put a camera model in your scene unless you want people to think a shiny object is reflecting 3 walls without a camera in sight.
That looks like it was modeled in Maya and then rendered in Hypershade or something comparable. The occlusion is really good and lots of ray bounces etc...that being said, someone probably made it and then uploaded it to try and catch views off the incoming announcement. BG is just an hdr map.
