PlayStation Mobile Thread of Indie Games, and Apps on Android/Vita

That's actually really important, and good. I wonder what the process is like though, really - is it immediate? Or does it go through a Sony process?

Futurlab didn't know if patches needed q/a, but both their games made it through cert in 1 day. So it is far less time than on psvita/psn/minis

Cross Post from PS Vita thread but..

Apparently the Samurai Showdown price of .99 cents its just the introductory price so it'll probably shoot up afterwards. Seems like they plan to keep supporting it from the psnstores.com Q&A. (yeah thats a shout out for you kass)

For .99 cents I could've done A LOT worse with (like some candy >.<) but I may be biased because I love rhythm action game

I hate when people say like $4 is too much money.
Especially when consumables on a whole cost more per item.

Your ownership of that software will be years.

But yea, the service is pretty neat so far. Here's looking forward to more software! :D

If I'm on a Nexus 7, what do I do with that?

You need an unlocked bootloader first. Then go to Google Play and search for 4ext. Download and install it. Your tablet will restart at least once during this process, don't worry. Once installed, reboot to recovery mode and make a backup file. You will require around 1GB free space for this backup.

Once backed up, pick the "install zip from SD card" option and scroll through to the downloaded zip file. Tap on it and say yes to install. It will take you through the options, say no to "Bravia Engine" and "xLoud" when prompted. Once flashed, go back to 4ext, do not restart your tablet from the installer. Once in 4ext click through to restart. Once restarted download and run the PSM.apk ensuring that you have sideloading enabled. Run the app and sign into your PSN account, congratulations, you now have PlayStation Mobile.

As an unofficial device, compatibility is not ensured so don't bitch to Sony (or me) if a game you pay for and download doesn't work. You also do this at your own risk, if you brick your tablet in the process of trying this, I take absolutely no responsibility.

Has anyone tried the music app? Like can you create tracks and save them? How does it work?

Thank you sir. All I wonder now is if purchases carry over from things you buy on Vita, because of the one account.

oh wow this game is good, I only tried this ,,Frederic and Fuel something but based on them, PSM is looking good

It was interesting in the Super Crate Box interview that the dev said he would like the next version of the PSM SDK to have support for online leaderboards, since I could have sworn that it already did, and several of the games have them.

Games can support it but it isn't PSM integrated feature.

Passing time does look really good, is it debuting on PSM?

Actually really enjoying Loot the Land. Fun little puzzler. Looks great on dat OLED (Vita). Plays really well. Recommend it :-)

Kassatsu do you know if the November SDK will include PSN integration like leaderboards, multiplayer, trophies?

Also, is anyone reviewing these games? I don't see any reviews up, just impressions.

Finally, is Super Crate Box the only iOS port? Or are there others?

I'm so getting that.

I caved in and bought Super Crate Box, Beats Trellis, and Samurai Beatdown. All for under 5.50USD!

I swear, this is gonna save me lots of money from getting these good but not so expensive games.

Super Crate Box is ridiculously addictive for a hard game.

My thoughts from some quick time is Beats has potential for a time waster with the music creation. Crate Box is very good and I loved the old school sounds and music. I'm going to be playing that a lot. Samurai Beatdown was fun and my son actually picked it up rather fast. Can't complain when I got all 3 for so cheap.

Does Samurai Beatdown have button support or is it touchscreen only?

I came here to say this. Really nice app, I was wondering if you could save your creations to an MP3 though.

Touch only but super easy as you tap the entire left/right for their respective attacks.

Like I said earlier, I haven't found a way to export. Your best bet is to connect a cable from the headphone jack to something like a mic input on your pc and use software to record from that. Also, once I realized it was more like a drum pad with loops than just a straight sequencer, It became much more manageable.

I've only gotten Super Crate Box and Rebel so far, both are good :)

I wouldn't mind some iOS games coming over. Like iOS games, hate touch only controls.

I just bought Super Crate Box and Fuel Tiracas but neither game is working for me? I get an error message. Games won't load.

Edit: Looks like a reset of my Vita did the trick. Full power off and powered back on.

Gave the Mac version of Super Crate Box a try and immediately bought the game. This is something I need on my portable!

Have you played Dungeon Raid? It looked a little bit like that game to me but I couldn't figure out what the objective was looking at the video other than match 3+
