Monthly rates are 30-50% more expensive than the regular price, and up to 2x more than the sale prices. Monthly PS Premium is the same or more than Gamepass Ultimate's "annual" pricing (post price hike).

I think extra is where to go, i tried premium for past 2 years and don't feel classic cat get any love from sony anymore, game rarely get update in or if it get in, chnace it won't has troohy support is very high

Mean while i feel that i buy less and less new game since i sub for extra, as i likely play more and more game from extra cat, so yes for me extra help to save alot of money for gaming, game i normally won't buy at all even on discount now i could play it if it get into extra cat like: world of final fantasy, stranger of paradise or yakuza gaiden...

Yeah im sure Sony changed their plans this fall based on an announcement from a week ago from Valve. A company about to release a PC that looks like a cube only on their steam store by a much more expensive price.

I pay for it but not because of online gaming. Its mostly for the catalogue. I got Alan Wake 1 and 2, Silent Hill 2 remake, Until Dawn ready to be played because of Plus. Also never played Cyberpunk. Might go ahead and try it while its there.

I can't see a way to get a discount for a full year, only on 100ish days until my renewal date.

Thanks for posting this! My sub was ending 11/29, so I was going to give it a try then, but it let me go ahead and re-sub at the discount price now. Used the discounted gift card from Target, so looks like I'm in for at least one more year.

My PS Plus ran out on 16th November. However, I can still play Gears of War online. Don't ask me how, maybe they gave me a month for free for every idiot I reported for insulting me over psn messages lol

My Essential expires in 61 days - it's only $10 to add the higher tier for the next two months. But it also won't let me extend my subscription another year at the discounted price.

I'm fucking done paying for "online" (that I never use, only play single player stuff) and to get free game rentals for stuff I'll never play. The only part of the service I actually use is cloud saves, and I hate feeling like this is holding my saves hostage for $80/year. Sorry Sony.

It worked for me (US) and my sub is not set to expire until the end of the month. I was able to do it from Deals > PlayStation Plus > See your available membership plans. I had set my Premium sub to not renew earlier so it would end on the 29th. I noticed the option to renew now at the discounted price showed up. Maybe it was because I was already on Premium?

I went to online store through a web browser. It seems to be really hit & miss. Inconsistent Sony strikes again.

Premium for $110 yearly is a good deal.
But you know what this means right, price hike incoming after they have locked in majority userbase for year.

Especially if Marathon fails, that's also when their fiscal year ends in March.

My Essential sub ends on the 27th and I was on the fence on renewing. I have an offer for 20% off Essential, but also a 33% discount on Premium.

So, Premium would be $107.19 if I let it lapse after the 27th. To those that have had Premium, did you feel you got the value out of it? Not sure that a price difference of $43.20 from Essential would be.

Hate that Sony still charges to play online.

To me, Premium is worth it purely for never having to pay for a PS Classic, most of which are $10 or $15 to purchase and they are not included at the Extra level. I've played a number of games offered through Classics and never paid a cent for them because of Premium. It has saved me more than $160, so I consider it to be well worth the cost.
