Isn't that Sonic game free right now? A friendly tip, make sure your "Automatic Download" feature is turned on. You can find it in the system settings menu.

Last time I checked, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Enigmo, and Pix'n Love Rush were also available.

They denied that on the blog. It's going to be a 50% discount for all users for the other games.

Probably would've been for this first batch too but they wanted Playstation Plus users to feel special.

In theory, you shouldn't keep any games forever.

Press triangle and hit "Information" to check each game. Sonic expires.

If you get a screen asking if you understand that quitting Plus makes that specific game go away when you add it to your cart, then it's not a keeper.

150MB of storage space. Max of 1,000 data files.

They also say that "copy-prohibited save data" can be backed up to the cloud, which is exciting, but then follow that up with "most PS3 titles will be compatible with online storage" which is kind of a kick to the nuts. Going forward all new games will have it, but it would suck to still not be able to back up saves for some of my games like SFIV. Got burned by that a while back when my PS3 died.

Still, this could be what pushes me over the fence on PS Plus. I was nearly there last night with a mad desire to download the MK demo, but this is more excusable.

Yeah they don't let us do it. Really not sure why. if they can do it in the US surely they can do it here? Have you asked James Thorpe (EU Blog PS+ guy) about it? He seems to be pretty honest about things.

I've asked blog people and customer services. No-one seems to know what the fuck is going on with regards to UK PS+
 
Is there any way to change country on an account? All my game saves are on my USA account but I live in Canada now. It's annoying that moving to a new country would completely block me from using this new feature. I would buy USA PS+ but then I would always need to worry about getting USA PS+ cards to take advantage of PS+ offers if it even works properly. I have PS+ on a Canadian account but I can't even use automatic downloads without making it set to automatic login on an account I only use for downloading.
 
Mmm this cloud saving thing might just tip me over the edge. Though I really don't know which account I would + on even if I did decide to go for it. I live in Japan, but have most of purchases on my UK account, but the US store tends to get the best stuff. Damn tough call.

Holy crap, My downloads are zooming. Does anybody else remember with plus remember pre- Plus download speeds compared to their post- Plus download speeds. These demos are downloading in like seconds. Holy Crap.

Same for me although I see a big improvement when I turn media servers off.

I only turn it on when I actually want to stream something from my laptop to watch on my TV. All other times I keep it turned off.
 
PS+... Was this a planned side effect for us?

Just like many of you on GAF... I am the "go to guy" among a large group of "not so serious" gamers.

They ask me whether THAT THING is the right peripheral,
They ask me whether THIS THING is a good game,
They ask me what is GOOD GAME for their children or brother,
Basically, I'm the "expert" everyone asks among my circle of friends.

Since PS+ is purchased predominantly by gaming nerds such as us, it actually makes perfect sense to give out a lot of "not-really-but-sort-of-free" copies of games to us. Its almost as if we are "second tier" gaming journalists influencing 100+ people.

Due to PS+, I end up playing and evaluating a LOT more content than I would actually purchase under normal conditions. As such, people ask me about things and I can answer more.

I have to wonder if they did the math and come up with a list of games they want us to "become educated" about?

I'd love to be able to do this too. My main account with friends and saves is US but now the UK has good PSN service I'd like to move it. Keep psn name and everything, just move the billing and location info. Post if you manage it
 
If I currently have a 3-month subscription and then I purchase a one year subscription, the 1-year subscription will only start tolling after my 3-month subscription exhausts, correct?

In the U.S., we know you can stack subscriptions. I don't believe we have a definitive answer for other territories.

I regret to say that there are several repeats in that set. Vector TD, SSF$2, and Abe Exoddus are all making their second appearances...

Still happy, mind you. Just wish we could get something I don't have. That's clearly not going to be the case for most/many PS+ people.
