PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

any impressions on Knytt Underground? I'm considering it before the discount ends tomorrow

Don't. Not worth it, still too expensive for what you get, and it's a PSN game so it's more than likely to go free at some point as NA plus likes giving us free PSN games rather than full retail games.

So no free PS3 game this week thanks to a free PS Vita game? The value of PS+ for non-Vita US customers is seriously eroding.
Fuck the Vita.

This is an absurd, the EU PLus is waaaaaay more interesting than US. =(
If that's how you feel, get an EU account. Seems pretty simple.

In the US, a year's(more that that, at the moment) sub costs less than one new PS3 game. If you get one game in that year which you truly enjoyed enough that you would've paid full price for it, everything else, whether you like the content or not, is a bonus. I buy the US sub in three month increments and still think it's worth it, even at the $72 I pay for a year.

OK, I know I'm bringing up an old topic discussed here before, but...are we still against making a seperate Thread for EU Plus and US Plus?

EU PSN got it as a freebie on its first day of release IIRC =P

Yes sir. Super Stardust HD was probably my favorite dual stick shooter. The Vita version is great as well.

Hmm sadly I'm not a big fan of Twin-stick shooters, but how is its single player mode?

BTW, Persona 2: EP is going for $10 on US PSN, wish that got a discount for Plussers at 50% >=/

I understand that, but you know that on PS Vita you can only have one account at time, right?
That's sux, especially because I already have other Vita/PSp games on US account that I'm playing now...

Apologies. I haven't gotten a Vita yet and didn't even consider that aspect. It just seems like people complain a lot about a service that really delivers more than it costs, in my opinion. Didn't mean to direct it specifically at you.

I'll actually be surprised if we don't get Lumines in March. I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't be part of the Vita anniversary sale.

We will probably get Lumines within the next few months, but my guess is that it's delayed since there was a small discount on it at the end of december.

I'm gonna pick up Super Stardust, but I'm wondering if it's just the basic game which will be discounted or the bundle as well.

Kinda hoping Skullgirls win it's category in the gamer's choice award mostly to support it. I'm a big fan of FG, but only having 8 characters is a big drawback (most FG start off with 10 characters at the bare minimum). I hope it can gain some traction so they can add at least 2 or 3 DLC characters. The netcode is also rumored to be excellent so I'm gonna give it a go if it's discounted.

What do you mean "more than a year at a moment". First I guess you could buy more than a year with that sale but that ended a WEEK ago. The price now is I believe totals $62-$63 US a year. That's more than a new game-unless your counting collector's editions :) . "More than a year" would be even more. But I still see your point. I've saved more than $63 on my free codes alone. I'm starting to feel quilty. I need to give back at some point. But not until May (when hopefully there will be a sale again). :)

Yeah, I should've broken up my points. I thought of that after the fact. I started speaking about EU plus and then shifted to US plus with no real segue. I was referring to the deal in the US currently where you get fifteen months for the price of twelve.

Many GAFers like to talk about games more than actually playing them.

I play games but I never bother to earn trophies, if I get a trophy for how I play fine but I don't honestly care, I've also had a 360 off and on since launch and my gamerscore is only 8k

I don't even average 3 posts a day on GAF according to my profile so it's not like I live on here or post a ton

I don't get what's so hard to do. Just do it.

It's ridiculous how they string people along each week for no damn good reason at all.

When he used to do monthly updates, some stuff that were promised in the third or fourth week were changed or moved to the next month. The most controversial change was a promised $15 PS+ price for Rayman Origins PS3, then changed to $24.

That might be why he hasn't been doing monthly updates recently: some plans change later in the month and he probably can't control that.

Well then they need to work to secure deals better. The plus userbase has grown alot since then. They should be able to persuade developers the right way by now.

Its "okay"... but kinda monotone and the characters bored me. And it just feels wierd in the wrong way.

I loved the first knytt by the way, so I had some expectations to this. But it was nothing like it :/

Yeah I remember that, I was one of the ones who purchased a $20 psn card for that. But that stuff doesn't seem to happen to EU so often, I don't know why SCEA is so incompetent at finding good deals and games and holding them.
