Debatable. Spec ops was an incredibly mediocre third person shooter.

And sleeping dogs is a really mediocre open world action game. What did it offer that was unique? A worse quality and jankier batman fighting system that is almost thrown away halfway through the game's story in place of shooting missions. Not to mention there's almost nothing interesting to do in the game outside of missions.

At least the plot in spec ops was unique and memorable. I don't even remember what happened in SD.

Sleeping Dogs did two things markably better than its counterparts:

a) sense of traversal not available in GTA, there's a lot of buldings you can climb in way of another
b) wet asphalt reflections

Plus, it was a lot of fun.

It was also nice to be set somewhere other than the US for a change.

It's fascinating to me how one game can make such a difference with Plus. I think this is one of the weaker months ever (still totally more valuable than $4.17), but people are pretty supportive because of Demon's Souls. I've never played it myself, so maybe I'll feel the same once I do.

It's only the game of the generation.

Sure? I played it last year because I have the USA retail version and they were closing the servers.
Lord Shuhei gave it a stay of execution.

They were going to, but didn't actually do it. As of now, the servers are staying online indefinitely.

Wow great news! Maybe I will play the New Game + one of these days (but I also have to start Dark Souls ;_;, my backlog it's now a living being).

i agree 100% with this. its a classic case of people shitting on the bigger budget hyped game(GTA4) because they think they are in on the sleeper title and be cool.

The thing is that Sleeping Dogs was actually fun to play.

Actually I did not like how it was designed to buy the DCL for exp. if you wanted the platinum (yeah I know, replay missions), so after the end of the story I did not go for everything possible.

Huh, I managed to get the Platinum without any DLC right after I beat the game (if I remember correctly).

I loved it. Much better than GTA4 (which I also like). However, Saints Row the Third is the open-world king thus far in this generation.

It's almost like you can't like both games for different reasons.

I had a ton more fun with Sleeping Dogs, but it's a personal experience and everyone has different tastes. I enjoyed both games though.

Lord Shuhei is to blame for Sony's lack of support regarding demon's souls. He admitted he thought it was crap and wasn't worth supporting.

For my personal experience with Demon’s Souls, when it was close to final I spent close to two hours playing it and after two hours I was still standing at the beginning at the game. I said, “This is crap. This is an unbelievably bad game.” So I put it aside.

Luckily, third party publishers, Atlus in North America and Namco in Europe [stepped in], and it really became a great hit outside of Japan.

We definitely dropped the ball from a publishing standpoint, including studio management side. We were not able to see the value of the product we were making.

Yes, the game was fun!
I liked the combat better than Batman Arkham City. I played the latter only because it was free on PSN+, but didn't get very far in it. I could not stop playing Sleeping Dogs, though.

The platinum wasn't too hard to get, without any DLC. But I admit it was a little tedious to play a couple of missions again.

Yep.

thats what im saying. i dont think either one was that much fun. but hyping something for the sake of shitting on another game is dumb. i dont see where sleeping dogs showed rockstar how its done. but if you read comments thats what you expect going in. thats all im sayin

After yesterday gave me a rather bitter taste in my mouth, I've subscribed to Plus EU! I highly recommend subscribing to both, Plussers! For $9 a month, you get 104 games with the occasional repeat.

I would consider it if switching accounts on vita wasn't such a massive pain in the ass.

I think I might use a EU account if I ever get a Vita, the asian ps+ suck.

Good thing is that I'm not really attached to my account and I couldn't care less about my trophies. I just hope they don't do region lock next gen.

Are there any issues having content from multiple accounts (if I were to sign up for EU Plus) on a single device (PS3 or Vita)?

You need two memory cards for vita and you can't play the games on another account. No problems on PS3 you just have to start the downloads on that account. You can finish it and play it on your main account no problem

I'm new to PS+ and have a quick question.

I saw Bioshock: Infinite has a 60 minute demo. From my understanding the Trophies don't unlock until I purchase the full game. If I play the demo and end up not buying the full game from PSN, but later on I purchase the retail disk, will the Trophies unlock?
