Yeah, my point was twofold: the single player already exists in US store (although I can't find it through web store) which means they could offer a smaller download in EU (as opposed to full game including MP), and that the EU getting UC3 wouldn't happen in US since it just was on sale and they've tried to avoid free immediately after sale.

I hope EU people get it. Great game! US people need to get something better, though. ;)
 
When should we find out about the PS+ games for June in NA (not the yearlong titles)?

Hoping for PSASBR as a yearlong, and I'll take whatever else they put up really.
 
Uncharted 3, PSABR and R3 are my guesses for the three yearly titles. I would say LBP Karting instead of R3 but LBP Karting has a very good bundling potential for Christmas.
 
I would take it that it is actually AC3 that is coming to PS+, not Uncharted 3.

1) It will be free on plus in time to help promote black flag.
2) A sale is on UC3 and no mention has been made of it coming
3) The multiplayer is already ftp.


My money would be on Ass Creed for sure. It has DLC for Ubi to shift as well.
 
Things have been kind of weird with my PS+ account lately. First off, I can't download Pinball Arcade for the Vita, but that's a known problem and I hope they fix it soon! There are some rumors floating around that it's a quite complicated issue with their account management system though. In addition, even though I've already downloaded Germinator for the Vita, it isn't marked as "purchased" on the web store. Who knows if I will be able to download it once it's off the IGC?

I just hope Sony doesn't have some weird problems with their PS+ servers that could eventually lead to us losing some of the games we thought we already had. Even worse, I hope the Pinball Arcade issues won't spread to other titles. Demon's Souls was only in the IGC for a very short time. What if the store just wouldn't allow you to mark it as purchased in that short time window?
 
Damn I'm so nervous right now, because I can't wait to dl Demon's Souls EU version and play it! I bought the US version at release and platinum'd it in the 2 weeks following the release.
I just didn't double dip when it released in Europe and now's the best time to do it...and platinum it again.

I want to play NOW >_< Please Time, go by faster.

A sale for the single player alone still puts this almost two years old game at $28. Meanwhile the used version including the single + multiplayer is $18 at Gamestop (new version is $20... but not available, so Sony can't make any money on it even if people are still buying it).

I wish Sony, Microsoft and the rest of these terribly managed companies would realize that all they have to do to kill used games is price their digital versions competitively.
 
When will the PS Store update? Later tonight? I really want to start the download on Blazblue Extend. I haven't touched that franchise in such a long while...actually, the last time I played Blazblue was when the first game came out. Such a good title.
 
Guys, are the overpriced bundle deals from last week expiring today? The P4A one wasn't so bad and I actually wanna buy it.
 
their online store's banners have started to reflect next week's germinator price, so hopefully that means update soon.

Also, with things getting directly antagonistic between GameStop and Sony/Microsoft, we might actually start to see movement on this. The real question becomes who sells the hardware for them... :|

Tesco, Sony/MS stores...there's a few alternatives though obviously none as good as dedicated game shops.
Going down Nintendo digital strategy when they sell cards in the shops might be a good compromise. Cards are cheaper than discs but you cant trade them in. Let the consumer decide.
 
Is someone who's PS+ for EU and/or US also PS+ for JP? If so, how do you like the value the JP store is giving you? I might consider it, especially with how the yen is not that high atm for me EU guy.
 
Haha. I has no memories for Blaz Blue! I usually manage by keeping one bohemeth (sly 4, P4G) on with a few smaller titles (blob, zen pinball). It's hard out here in these 8gb streets.

I was going to say it's totally not worth it, but I'm looking at the JP PS+ screen for the first time in some time now and I might want to retract that.

There's a lot of oldies like KOF94, World Heroes, PC Engine games... in the selection, and they've been here for some time now I think. On the PS3 side, you get Bomberman Ultra, Birds of Steel, Siren New Translation and some other things. Vita is particularly interesting I think, since you get Time Travellers (visual novel, I played the 3DS demo and liked it quite a bit), Danball Senki W, Virtue's Last Reward (we already got this in Europe though), Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus and some PSP games to go with it, like Trails in the Sky, Way of the Samurai 2 or Guilty Gear XX Accent Core.

It's very different from the US/EU offer, which is good. It was pretty terrible when the service launched last year but it's getting better and better IMO. I feel like I might bite too, since I've been wanting to play Time Travellers and get the PSP version of Trails.

There's just something bothering me: The period of download is three months for all games, which seems awfully long. Can any confirm it works the same way as EU/US PS+, as in you keep the games even after they're delisted from the IGC?
 
PS+ is saying a big "fuck you" to me LOL. Not only they're offering a Vita game, but it's a fighting game LOL. Can't stand either of them, although Vita would be bearable if they made an XL version. 5-inch screen is just too small.
 
Doesn't seem like there are any hints out there. We should get a blog post in the next week or so... maybe some hints in the next blogcast episode?

I think AC3 is most probably coming in June.
Not hoping for LBP Karting or PSASBR cause I bought both of them on PSN sales for 10 and 20$ respectively. UC3 would be useless as well, cause lets be honest how many people left who didn't play it?
 
I could see AC3 being a monthly game but no way over a year, largely because they'd still have on there six or seven months after AC4 was out, which is a problem with all the annual games. I could see it as a six month thing to promote 4, but 12 months would surprise me.
 
This is a silly question, but is there an easy (key word) way to check what PS+ games you actually bought at a discount, and which ones are just free titles for while you're a member?

I'm pretty sure I know most of the titles I actually purchased as opposed to ones I downloaded for free, but there are a couple I'm not sure of.

Ugh, this is such a lame question to be asking. :/

You can find all your cash purchases in your email. Filter ps store.

The early updates never really hit this early. Wait an hour and they'll start popping up.

Can't you check your games somewhere to see an expiry date or something? If the game doesn't have an expiry date I guess you 'own' it. I can't remember where you see it.
 
Hmm, I did have Ico/SoTC but ended up selling it - didn't think much of Ico but I'm going to give it another go on a nice big TV.

Did they fix the awful camera in Kingdoms of Amalur?

On your PS3 you can go to:
Account Management ---> Transaction History ---> Set the dates from 2007 -> 2013 ----> You can see the dates when you added cash and spent it. Click into it and it will show you what was purchased.

Exactly what you're looking for.

You trying to prove a point to the wife or something?

Yeah, press triangle on the game and select 'Information'. It will show here if the game has an expiry date and if it has then you got it for free.

Same. Three great, pretty big games so I'd want to get them downloading as soon as possible but they still haven't been PS+'d. D:

Other times it's been as early as 10-11am.
 
Yeah EU PSN would usually be announcing what sales and stuff would be up before the eventual blog update 2-3 hours from now.
Wonder if they've got a lot planned for today =O
