So I was a member from before the outage, and obviously my games expired during the outage. If I check my account the extra 2 months have been added to my Plus but the games that expired before, for example Sonic, are still expired. Is there a way to update them so they know I'm still an active Plus member?

Maybe redownload them? Or try to reboot them and see what happens.

Is anyone surprised there is not more stuff on Plus store? After all we missed 2 or 3 Plus weeks, yet there is the same amount as usual. Kind of crappy of them to do this.

I'm not surprised because we'll be getting it updated more often until they catch up. Just take a look at two updates 4 days apart instead of 2 weeks apart.

quick questions (new to the whole psplus thing)

how long do the discounts last; in particular, under siege at 9.99 which started yesterday?
and
is the MAG escalation dlc available for EU psplus accounts, or USA only?

edit: thanks for the reply; good to hear that they warn you that the offer is ending

They'll announce when something is coming down as you can see at the bottom of my post at the top of this page.
I have no idea, check the EU Blog.

It's normally updated every other week but they've accelerated it to make up for the PSN down time.

Yes.

Here's a spreadsheet that shows everything that has been available since Day 1.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub...ckRJQlZJclR6aGc&single=true&gid=3&output=html

The only things we know that are coming is posted at the top of this page.
There are also Sega Genesis games but we don't know exactly when they'll be available but here are the dates we were given before the store went down.

Streets of Rage 2 – Available May 3 – May 31
Golden Axe 2 – Available May 31 – July 5
Comix Zone – Available July 5 – August 2
Altered Beast – Available August 2 – August 30

Guys, will the PS plus themes I download as part of the free 30 day program expire after my free PS plus expires as well?
Free themes and avatars are free forever. Some people say that free DLC and PS1 games are also free forever but the FAQ and the new guy in the blog say you lose them.

The Plus program hasn’t changed at all: Any free content such as a game or DLC is only free as long as you’re a Plus subscriber.

I know someone (I can't remember his name right now) at Sony said differently about DLC but this is what they say now and has always said in the FAQ.

Anything you pay for is yours forever.

Thanks dude

those free game trials... do they have an in game time limit or can u actually finish the game...

and they expire after a month or so?
1 hour from when you start the game. I have no idea if they expire after a certain time if you don't start them but I wouldn't think so. I haven't bothered downloading any of them because they're so short.

I only bought Borderlands thanks to the trial, and I'm pretty glad that I did.
Do you remember what happened with trophies during the trial? I think I heard you get them but don't get to keep them unless you buy the game but I was wondering how that worked.

Is it just me or is there only 1 MAG pack up? The two store updates each list a different DLC pack, but I can only see one on the store.

If I buy a discounted game as a plus member then I get to keep it even when the sub runs out right? Like if i used the free month for Under Siege? Its just the free stuff they give you that you cannot access anymore correct?

Edit, thanks below, was also in the end of the OP *Gotta stop being in a hurry, :P*

That's correct.

I updated stacking during the store outage and it reverted back to the demo. I can't find the unlock key on the download list either. Am I screwed?

Anyone? It kind of pisses me off because I wanted to play it yesterday.

I have no idea but the order of my download list is all screwed up (says I downloaded AC:B multiplayer beta on May 20th for example) so maybe yours is the same and you just missed it in there.

Guess I'll try this question again since it's been a bit.

I was a 3 month Plus member well before the outage. Once everything came back, my games, such as Sonic, had expired. I was credited the extra Plus time which puts my subscription ending in July, but games like Sonic are still expired and won't run. Is there anyway to update them without having to redownload the games? Can I freely redownload it even though the Sonic offer isn't up anymore?

Just put my Demon's Souls savegame up in the cloud, feels great man.

I do like how they keep it there for 6 months even if I'm not a member, too.

OMG, I forgot you can do this for save game with PS+. Brb, backing up mine (even though I've done it using the normal PS3 backup procedures).

All the content you get is gone if you don't renew right? There's really no point taking advantage of the free month if so. I'm not paying $50 a year for a coupon program.

PSOne Games, Mini's and DLC are yours to keep even if you don't renew otherwise PSN games are gone if you don't renew

You keep Minis, DLC, some PSOne games, and anything you buy with PS+ discount

It said the minis stop working or whatever if you stop membership. I wondered how that worked.

I don't know than but I was always under the impression that those things are yours to keep.

From the OP.

What happens when my subscription expires?
Briefly, free games and DLC expire with your subscription. They are renewed if you renew your subscription. Everything else, whether obtained free or with a partial discount, is yours forever regardless of your subscription status.

To be perfectly clear...

You lose access to the following items which you downloaded while they were free under the PS+ program:

games
possible premium DLC (theoretically permitted, but hasn't happened yet)

You retain access to the following items which you downloaded or purchased while they were free or discounted under the PS+ program:

DLC (downloaded free or purchased with discount)
themes (downloaded free or purchased with discount)
avatars (downloaded free or purchased with discount)
games (purchased with discount)

If you renew your PS+ subscription later you have full access to everything.

If there is "premium PS+ DLC", then that DLC may actually be tied to your account and therefore require an active subscription for access. See Sony blog admin response here.

Addendum: A post on the US PS Blog appears to muddy the waters on this point. Their post says this:

Q: What happens when my PlayStation Plus subscription ends?

A: The content you have downloaded as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription at no charge is only accessible as long as you are an active subscriber. The exceptions are free themes and avatars, which you will continue to have access to, even if you are no longer a subscriber. Anything you have purchased (even if you purchased it at a discount) will remain available to you even if your subscription ends.
That makes it sound like free DLC will be gone too.
There's also a discrepancy as to whether PSOne games also expire. They have expiration dates but some have still worked after those dates for some people.
From August 2010:
Curiously, PSone games (like Syphon Filter) appear to work even after the Plus subscription ends. Although clearly marked as Expired under the game's "Details," the game launches normally. It's unclear if this is simply an oversight, or if this content is meant to be free, even after the end of a subscription (much like downloaded avatars and XMB themes). Nevertheless, we've asked Sony to clarify because, hey – permanently free games makes PlayStation Plus a much more palatable offer! If it's a glitch, you can look forward to another mandatory firmware update sometime soon (sorry!).
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/16/playstation-plus-games-expired/

Either way, assume all free content except for themes and avatars expire since that's what it says in the FAQ. If we get to keep anything else then it's a happy bonus.

I wonder why the MAG DLC is an exception?

I'm wondering if I should take advantage of PS+ on the last day so hopefully I get a discount on Beyond Good And Evil HD. I heard it was dropping this summer for PS3.

I just asked them in the comments of the blog. We'll see if they answer.

Tempting.
