From this trial month I have to say PS+ seems pretty fair, although these genesis roms as the "free games" is not really that great of an idea. I like genesis games but these are not the way to get them. MtG 2011 is pretty cool though.

Got PSN+ DAY 1; 1 Year Sub + 3 month bonus = 15 months
June 29th, 2010 - September 29th, 2011

Then the PSN outage happens

Hooray! 60+ bonus days added to your PSN sub, now my new date should be November 29th, 2011

I go to service list > PSN+, my end date is now 12/08/2011...WAT!?!
(Not complaining I got an extra week added to my sub)

Now the problem @ Hand:

All my games that are running through my PSN+ sub which will deactivate if I don't renew have as their expiration date as September 29th, 2011

The stuff that I have gotten after the PSN outage, all the new stuff offered through PSN+ have an expiration date of December 8th, 2011

So I called up Sony, their response: Your sub runs out on 9/29 for all those games before the outage, you can't play those unless you resub
All the games after the outage are on the new sub time line of 12/8, so half my games expire in September, while others in December if I don't sub

So if I renew my sub, I was told that my sub would activate on the 9/29 timeline, not the 12/8 timeline meaning those 60 days would get wiped out....the fuck is going on with Sony?

So I lose out of the first section of games and I'm hoping they work on 9/30, no way I'm losing 60 day bonus because Sony doesn't understand how their own shit works

yeah i've redownloaded stuff and they had the newer date. it's because the files on your ps3 aren't automatically updated when you extend your subscription (maybe they check when they've expired but i know they didn't change when i added more to my subcription). the files themselves just have a clock in them. if you redownload them from the store, they should have the new sunscription end date.

Hi, the US are doing it slightly different to us at the min. they get both the packs but access to the add-ons they give expires with your membership. However, in Europe, currently you get to keep any add-ons you download forever and so the compromise is that you only get Interdiction this time. Thanks

I thought after the store came back online it would be a great opportunity to give out some awesome stuff and great discounts with the free month of PS+ for everyone but they have been giving us shit ever since the store came back. Instead we get no discount for Outland after it comes out a month and a half late, no Crash Commando and Europe gets Burnout Paradise. But hey, here's a Lilo & Stitch game you don't want and another poorly emulated Genesis game. Nice work SCEA. Way to waste an opportunity to get new Plus subscribers to sign up. I think PS+ has been totally worth it overall for me but anyone who didn't know anything about it before using the free trial must be looking at this like 'people pay for this shit'.

Not to sound condescending, but the way you purchase stuff, PSN+ isn't right for you

PSN+ is a rental service, if you Day 1 purchase most stuff, it really may come back to bite your wallets ass
Most who have it, haven't Day 1 everything, let some stuff go, and now they get benefited of trying it out, playing it, maybe next purchase Day 1 it

I'm a "Trophy Whore", so it is worth it to me, cause I game a lot, so discounts/games/dlc/etc. benefit me

If you have saved data that is "copyright prohibited", cloud saves is a fucking bargain

Demon's Soul, EA racing games, RPG's, etc. that lock saves, really hurt players
I have had 3 YLOD's, 2 DRE's, I worked my ass off to save my DS saves

Find the GAF thread where cloud saving was enabled, 75% thanked the gods they can save there DS Game saves
It was almost DS Cloud Save was the main feature PSN+ sub included at no additional cost =D

The only thing I'm a little confused on is, is there no way to automatically have your saves upload to your cloud storage at set times? Because, if I have to remember to copy everything up manually, the option kind of seems like a joke.

While I am a big supporter of this program and was a huge supporter of Qore in it's first year (view my post history if you don't believe me) I have got to say, to play devil's advocate, I'm really surprised how terrible they have dropped the ball on everyone's free month of plus (if you were smart you didn't activate it until the U3 beta came out) that alone raises a red flag in me that the people behind this aren't capable of running a good business model.

Yea the manual copy is a buzzkill, but it's not THAT bad. You only really need to copy 1 or 2 saves to the cloud per game - your profile save, and the progression save that has you farthest along in a game.

This is true (Qore went from OK to complete crap, in terms of bonuses) and is good reason to be wary of how Sony moves forward with PS+.

I completely agree. I bought it day 1 and stacked my subscription because of how great the first year was but they're going to have to work to keep me because I have no problem not renewing if I don't like what it turns into.

I've not finished inFamous 1 yet so I'm gonna play more of that today (I liked it). I hope this is the full game. I don't want to download 15GB for it to be a trial/demo.

Thing is it doesn't say trial. Every other game with the full game trial says Trial by the name and not (Full Game). I've downloaded anyway to take a look.

Yeah inFamous 2. I only see the Full Game with no trial anywhere. It's let me download it and has the bag thing like I purchased it (but I haven't)

It's downloaded now and has been installing for a while. (why do these installs take sooo looooong D. Going to play it for a bit now to see if it is the full game.

EDIT: I think it is the Trial version. Has an expiration (7 mins ago.. ?) and a bar by the side. It's weird though as it had the bag on the store and let me download it saying it was the full game, I couldn't find a trial version and it didn't charge me. It gave me no option of buying the game.

Now my Plus membership expires in a few days, but I thought I heard that they will hold onto your saves for six months even if you're no longer a member? So as long as I resubscribe for at least a couple of months before the six months are up it should keep my saves backed up for another six months, right?
