It's true though. This pretty bad 3-4 month stretch they've had has pretty much cost me the $18 I spent on a 3 month card. Because if I had known everything they were giving away in that stretch I would have saved that money for upcoming games, and now that mine is up today it will cost them.

I hope Sony has something big to hype the service for the holiday. I thought that we would start seeing it for October, but I don't think Blitz meets that criteria.
Really enjoying Starhawk's SP, btw. It actually reminds me a lot of Halo -- big open areas, lots of freedom, colorful environments, vehicles (the bike feels like the Flimflam from Halo, and they have a Warthog equivalent too... hell, the tank sort of feels like their tank a little as well). Too bad the on-ground AI is pretty awful, but, yeah, I think that game had a lot of potential, but not enough money behind it to make it happen, which is probably a good thing cuz it probably wouldn't have sold regardless.

I would have voted Borderlands and I already own and beat it on 360, Blitz does nothing for me I much rather have Deus Ex:HR and Red Dead like Europe added even though I own those on 360 also because I rather replay those and try to get the trophies in great games than have more crapy ones added.

They need a Store wide sale, start with 10% on everything and get to -75% on old content.
The $20 off $100 discount is neat, but definitely not a big deal. There probably aren't many out there who even consider spending that much on PSN in one month.

Oh yes, there is a lot of DLC I want, but I don't see any value in buying them at their original prices.
It's not the first time they've replaced a retail game with a PSN game. I'm pretty sure they posted in the comments of one of the blog updates that there wasn't a set ratio of retail to PSN releases.

Week 2: Sale on DLC for previously released free games. 50% off?
Week 3: Free Game 2.
Week 4: "Steam Sales." Five dollar "retail" games, two dollar PSN games, with the promise that no game on this sale would be released for "free" for Plus in the future (or within an 18 month period, at least). Maybe one of each a month?
I'd be up for spending that much. I can't remember wasn't that deal only for a selection of new releases or something though?
The problem with old content is the lack of trophies. People would be up in arms over giveaways of non trophy games. Even though some might be fun and no one buys them anymore anyway.
