PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Looks like a 9AM or later post this week. I'm going to lunch. Hopefully lots of fun to read when I get back. :)

Made some room on my 16gb for Uncharted last night. I beat it twice at launch and got 77% of the trophies, but after installing the PS+ version I'm realizing the card game additions to each treasure, trophy, and hidden item are giving me the itch to go treasure hunting.

I don't think we'll be getting any free games this week. We've already gotten two retail and one PSN game, which in my opinion is more than enough to meet the monthly quota for the PS3. Maybe a Vita game, though I wonder if they'll be saving up to make a splash for Christmas.

Really, I only expect a bunch of discounts this week.

Edit: And on the Vita games note, I expect that IGC to be kept at six games, and have one game rotate in and out each month.

They've hinted at one game a week at least for this month

I wonder if they'll switch the PSP games up or make PSone titles part of that changing lineup while keeping Uncharted, Wipeout, and Gravity Rush as mainstays for a while. I wouldn't mind.

Nope any Plus game you buy can be used by any account on your PS3, don't need to be logged online to play it either.

I've been wondering how this works, since I think the 1 hour trials require you to be logged in.

If your + account expires and you never log in, how does your PS3 know? Some sort of unmodifiable internal clock?

It has an expiry date attached to it as soon as you download it

Watch the US get Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Vita to compliment Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.

That would go great with my free Virtua Fighter and King of Fighters.
<- sarcasm

At this point I don't think they have many fighters left to give for free. Only one I can think of is BlazBlue.

Yeah but can't I change the clock? I dunno.

My IGC games don't show an expiry date and don't require being logged in, but my PSN+ 1hr trials show an expiry date and require being logged in, I don't understand the discrepancy.

As far as fighters go, I wouldn't mind arcana heart 3 since I'll never buy it and there's no US retail release. For vita hope we get escape plan.

I can't really see them doing 1 vita game, at least every single month. At some point they have to rotate out the PSP game (probably for another PSP game) and imo anyway the "vita" PS+ not even having a new vita game one month would be really weird. I think it would make more sense to rotate 1 vita game and the PSP game.

Could stretch out the free vita games for a long time while also diving into the rather large psp library for quality games.

Why the hell is the vita version of Rayman more expensive?

It's newer and hasn't seen a price drop even in retail.

Looks like they really weren't kidding when they said they'd be trying to outdo Europe's Christmas sale.

Rayman Origins on both and LBP Vita are the only really good deals. But you know for LBP they're probably just trying to get as many sales as possible before they give it for free to PS+

Well, I was including the PSP game in that, sorry I wasn't more clear. I think it'll be 5 Vita games, 1 PSP game at all times, and each will be rotated out basically every month, and twice a year that game will be a PSP game.

I could see that happening too, but I'd be pretty sad. Basically I just want some free psp stuff haha. One of my biggest regrets is buying a psp in 2008 but only buying 6 games for it despite the fact the library of stuff I'm interested in (jrpgs and the like) is hugeeeeee.

Feels like Catherine has gone on "sale" for $20 half a dozen times in the past few months. Just drop the price permanently and be done with it, Atlus.

I think we'll see a good number of psp titles in the IGC since the Vita is still fairly new and there is a large catalog of PSP games that will make it easier for the Plus team to make deals on. Hard to say really since we don't really know what pattern they're going to use for the Vita IGC.

There is still an update for this month.
They should replace a Vita game next week.

I can't see there being an update next week, seeing as next tuesday is Christmas day... Unless they're going to update on thursday or friday

Well, I hope they don't skip 2 PSN updates because of holidays. That would be terrible.

Huh. I would expect there to be quite a good update on Christmas day. That'd be the smart thing to do, at least.

Yeah there's 2 more updates left in the month and they didn't move any of the Vita games to the Expiring Soon list last week so a Vita game this week was a long shot.

Morgan already said the Store will be updating on Mondays for the holidays.

Unless the last week is amazing. EU destroyed the US this month.

That's your opinion :P
I won't disagree that the EU content was great stuff this month, but I've already beaten Batman AC and Vanquish. I also already own LIMBO (bought a Humble Bundle) and I'm not interested in playing it.
While the content is great, I can't really rejoice. US stuff brought me games I don't own or haven't beaten. And those are still great games.

I keep hoping Asura's Wrath will show up free for Plus... I'd love to play it, but I know as soon as I buy it, it'll be free. It seems like a good choice, since Capcom is comfortable putting their stuff up for free, and from what I've heard, the "true ending" DLC is practically mandatory, and I wouldn't mind throwing a few bucks for that if they gave the main game away.

I'm not sure SF4 is ever going to finish downloading though.
