Sony got everyone hookline and sinker with that BS from E3 about revamping Psplus... since the original games it's been pretty much a disaster.

There have been some great discounts (Sega currently has a bunch of games up for $2.50 right now), not to mention the kickass Vita lineup. Borderlands alone was kind of crazy, not to mention Bioshock 2.

Payday, Quantic Conundrum, Scott Pilgrim, Outland, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Rochard, SSF4, Wipeout, Velocity, Where Is My Heart, Resident Evil 5. It's nowhere near as cruddy as some are making it out to be.

Actually its discounts on two games Euro PSPlus got free.

Id really like that Lord of the Rings game they are getting next month.
 
Thanks to a finding by Jmes99, you can apparently view some of next weeks content by simply setting your clock ahead 1 week. While the exploit is limited to whatever changes Sony has already put into motion, this trick has revealed that US gamers are getting NBA Jam On Fire Edition and Cronovolt (Vita) for free with plus. If that doesn’t wow you, the store also lists a 50% discount on Deus EX Human Revolution, Sound Shapes, Bulletstorm and Skull Girls too.

I tried the clock trick and it was showing me a Deus Ex banner that said "$29.99 $14.99" so I'm guessing it's the standard one.

This is only true if you ignore the fact that it's blatantly false:

  • 2nd January – Bioshock
  • 2nd January – Guardians of Middle Earth
  • 2nd January – Mortal Kombat – excluding Australia and German
  • 2nd January – Gotham City Imposters – Australia and Germany only
 
It's great to see that everyone is having a crappy run with Plus on Vita. :/

Currently, I'd say it's about neck and neck in terms of quality.
 
The week that PS+ started for Vita, I downloaded Uncharted and tried it out for 5 minutes, and it made me realize something: I am SICK of Uncharted. After 3 games, I am just so done with it, and I definitely don't want to play it on a handheld anyway.

So then I purchased Virtue's Last Reward and started playing that, and didn't stop for the next four days.

What? Uncharted, Wipeout, JSR, Mortal Kombat. Isn't that like almost ALL the good games on the damn thing??there isn't even that much to choose from yet.

and Gravity Rush... I don't know why is everybody complaining... and I'm from europe so I didn't get wipeout yet...

The fact is that PS+ if you only have a Vita and doesn't own a PS3 is questionable if you already have Uncharted and Gravity Rush... but the reality is that PS+ for Vita is an add-on for PS3 PS+ users to make them buy one and a half Vita (Aka 32Gb memory card)...

Pretty much how I feel but I'm fine with it. I knew I was going to get a new console for xmas this year which the only two I didn't have was Wii U and a Vita. My choice was a Wii U but when I saw PS+ get added for vita I decided to go with it. Don't regret it in the least either despite finding the free vita games outside of the initial group pretty lackluster.
 
I would prefer if they gave good PSP or PSX games before giving new PSN releases like Chronovolt or Big Sky Infinite but what can you do, the service on Vita only started 2 months ago and we already got great games.

That's not even 1/10th of the good games on vita, especially since JSR is probably the worst game on it. How about instead of cheap garbage like RCR or chronovolt we get virtua tennis or shinobido 2? Two launch games that are still full price for some reason.

Much like the revamp on ps3 I feel like they suckered people into buying PS+ with that great first month and then nothing but shit after. Maybe they're waiting for all of the 3 month codes they gave out with Vita to expire before putting some effort in.
 
They really should put a 50% deal on the full Deus Ex. That certainly convinced me to buy the full Borderlands last year. (Then there was the whole "oh, sorry, we lost your license, please pay $30 on top of the $15 we already scammed you into paying" episode. Happily that got fixed. :P)

Hey, negative people, let me ask. What reasonable update would you propose for January in U.S.? Different from SCEE's announced stuff, but a reasonable change of content that you would be happy with but is conceivable given the kind of stuff announced previously for the service.

At least 1 of these Vita games: Dynasty Warriors, Shinobido 2, Virtua Tennis. And 1 crappy PSN game on the level of the stuff they're currently giving out.

I'd like to get VT4, UMvsC3 and Blazblue, Unit 13 in PS+.
MotorStorm: RC or Escape Plan would be great additions, I already have them but I'm sure they and their devs would get more praise if more people play them.
Played Shinobido 2 a bit and felt IMO as a mediocre PS2 game.

I already bought Sound Shapes at launch.

Another week I vote "Nothing for me" on the Playstaton Blog.

Didn't SCEE give out Knytt Underground? SCEA keeps on giving me stuff I already own and old stuff most people aren't buying. SCEE drops new items for people.
