Im ok with this

That's their big january game? Usually they use the first week to reveal the "big" game of the month.
NBA Jam: On Fire seems to be their big January game.

We’re just getting started for January’s PlayStation Plus content, so we’d love to know more about what your favorite content was from the updates last month. NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and Chronovolt are being tracked for January’s Plus updates, so you’ll see those options at the end of this month.

There's also a poll for what genres you would like them to add to the IGC.

Nice update. Only played a couple of stages in mm9 so it'll be nice to be able to go through the whole game. I hope the two mm games count as one release so that we get two more ps3 plus updates this month.

Oh man so for this month we have that shitty NBA Jam, one of if not the worst Vita game, and 2 games designed to be like NES games.

This is already competing for the worst month of PS+ ever and we're only 7 days in.

I wish they'd pre-announce the whole month if only so people wouldn't whine every single week as if that's the only stuff we got or are getting that month, or frittering over meaningless things like what constitutes the "big" game, or worry about months at all when they've clearly switched a new additions every single week. At least the European complainers get it all out at one time.

I think we all know by now to expect absolute garbage every week. But they do need to go back to announcing the full month at the start. There's no benefit to what they do now.

Mildly interesting factoid for UKGAF: Coke Zone is doing PS Plus 3 month subs for 250 points. A bit steep considering NFS: MW is only 400, but still cool.

I've never played MM9 or 10, so I'm ok with this update. I'm having a lot of fun with NBA jam as well... it's partly nostalgia, but online is pretty fun.

Would I like more former $60 games that are on par with EU PS+? Of course. But I'm not complaining, and am enjoying the NA offerings well enough.

No, I think we know it doesn't matter how acclaimed a game is, a bunch of people in this thread will call it garbage.

Guess there's no reason to load up the store this week. Was hoping for something better but SCEA just don't feel like giving anything other than cheap PSN games.

We got KOFXIII and SSFVIAE. I'd love it if we could get Persona 4 Arena and Tekken up there sometime so their player bases could expand...

I'd maybe expect Persona 4A when the inevitable upgrade is announced.

I just want the MK PS3/Vita that EU got. That doesn't seem unreasonable, but recent WB games on sale leads me to believe it will be a couple months at least. They said recently if they put games on sale, they probably won't be on Plus for free right after.

I like how their polls are private now. lol. Probably because they had such a high number of people voting that the updates are shit.

Please cease all positive comments about SCEA PS+. They are not welcome here!

Actually, a very welcome change!

I don't have either Mega Man 9 or Mega Man 10 already, so I'm happy about this update.

Also, are people really bagging on NBA Jam: On Fire Edition? I think it's an excellent game, probably one of the best freebies we got over the last couple of months. Would the people who were dissatisfied with this have preferred to receive the earlier NBA Jam (the one released as a physical disc at retail), just so they could say Sony gave us a "retail game" and not a "downloadable game"? I believe this is one of those instances where the download-only sequel is superior to the disc-based original.
