I'm betting SCEE annoyed them to the point that they cancelled it. It's already out on PC and XBLA in PAL territories, it's not like they're missing that many sales, so to Valve, it's probably not that much of a deal to just skip it entirely.

And blaming Valve for this is stupid because it's SCEE's job to make sure that this doesn't happen. If developers are having that much trouble with them (and a number of them CLEARLY have), they need to sort it out or continue to turn multiplatform releases into timed or full exclusives for their competitors.

Do I expect this to happen? Of course not. SCEE's been useless for at least a decade (going back to when they didn't bother to release the PS2 HDD, pissing off Square Enix) and they'll continue to be so. And Sony management will continue to be hopeless in getting their divisions to work together.

If someone wants to pay for my + subscription I will gladly be happy with not caring that MY first year of ps+ was essentially a year long rental of stacking and that my 2nd had a good start with the initial vita batch of games but hasn't had anything worth downloading since then.

I like how despite hating the first year you still went ahead and subscribed for a second.

Hopefully the third one is the charm!

Yeah, NA PS+ trials stack on top of current subs. Your current sub will have its expiration date pushed back 30 days and your subscription type will change from yearly (guessing you bought a year) to "30-Day Trial (3 Month Package) " sub. They do that for renewal purposes only and it doesn't affect anything as long as you remember to turn off automatic renewal which you can find under Account Management -> Transaction Management -> Services List in your PS3.

Yea, tried the demo earlier last night and I pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. It's basically me just building an army of seeds and destroying everything, hah. Pretty much bought it and will play when I get back.

Give me a break, you have the right do whatever the hell you want. I gave up on ps plus, but they promised a major upgrade, and so far it's been nothing but disappointing. If you think differently that's fine, but IMO PS+ just isn't quite worth it.

I wanted to try a MOBA, so I downloaded it.

Tried to find a game, waited 5 minutes, nothing. Tried again, 4 minutes, nothing. Felt like I was the only person who was actually online and trying to find a game. Sadly it even has an 'expected' waiting time onscreen while you're doing this, and at one point I felt I was single handedly pushing that number up! D:

Haven't got back to it because of those matchmaking troubles.

The O in MOBA stands for Online. You can play against bots, but I still think you'll need 4 team mates. With the influx of new PS Plus players there are a lot of unskilled players running around.

I wasn't even sure what it was but was totally in the mood for a LotR game, but if it is having troubles and has to be played with multiple other people then it probably isn't worth my time either.
