Yeah, it's already $30 at Best Buy, but I don't think Activision's had any free games on Plus. I'm hoping for Okami HD. Been a while since I've played through it.

After hearing about how long it takes to skip through repeated dialogue/puzzles in 999 to get the different endings compared to VLR I know I will never touch 999 with a 150 foot pole.

The only explanation I can think of is that it's April 1st and they STILL don't have this month's PS+ content locked down. Which fits right in with how US PSN seems to operate.

It doesn't really take that long to get through 999 repeated stuff. I simply used a walk through for the puzzles I already did (though I could see how that is inconvenient to some, but it didn't bother me). The skipping of the dialogue does take longer than it should, but it isn't *that* long. I believe it only took six minutes to get through all of the older stuff to see the new stuff.
What I would recommend people who don't want to see all the endings is to simply read a flowchart to hit the safe and true ending. The bad endings aren't necessary to fully understand the story.
Well maybe they are still using the extra time to close a deal with a developer for a game that's only been out for a few months like EU did with Sleeping Dogs so when the update comes out you guys will be as blow away as we were? lol I can't even say that with a straight face anymore.
Just tell me the AM2 games aren't going to be free this month on plus so I can take advantage of the "3 for $10" deal they had this week on the store before it expires tomorrow.

The Plus update probably will be too awful and they are figuring a way to post it without making people think it's an April's Fool joke.

My gaming time is limited.
If a game requires multiple playthroughs and doesn't allow for that with rapid jumps over repeated content the multiple playthroughs aren't worth my time.
I felt exactly the same way and have been enjoying VLR on its own, regardless of what I may be missing from 999.
I would LOVE if Championship Sprint was given away for free over PS+, because then I might actually be able to play it online at least once. I've never, ever found a game.
Why? The game is ass. Much like Super Off Road, the game is completely inplayable without the arcade wheel.

i would imagine that it would be pretty much the same as with the vita. You won't get anything at launch, but 7-9 months later (oh likely e3 2014) an instant game collection will be announced, waiting to see isn't a horrible plan but since i have a ps3 and vita and no doubt both will still be supported for the next year I have no problems with a long term commitment right now.

It sounds like they want PS+ to be a more major part of the PS4, which can be good or bad. Either they'll expand it and add more stuff to it, or they'll start hiding things behind a paywall. I'm hoping for the former.

my guess is we are getting some sort of a multiplayer only game tomorrow and they want the issues on the psn sorted before they announce what is coming.
or they really do only have like 3 people working the entire online division in NA and need to focus on that instead of posting up a blog as they can't spare the man power.

Not that bad tier: PS+ continues to be the same as before but online play is behind PS+ paywall.
Good tier: PS+ continues to be the same as before.
God tier: PS+ continues to be the same as before and expands.
Gaikai stuff will be a separate subscription and there will be some super PS+ that has both.

I think that the likelihood of those appearing on Plus is diminished a bit by the fact that they're on sale now. I don't recall anything that's been on sale the month before appearing on Plus as free a month later.
If it is on sale right now, the likelihood that it will be a freebie is very, very low. The last time something on sale went free the next month was when IGC was announced, and they caught a lot of flak. I believe they mentioned they would avoid doing that in the future.
Personally, if a game is on sale I have no qualms buying it.
