PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Demon's Souls feels slow, stiff and clumsy. I'd rather play Street Fighter 2010 or something, because even though it kicks my ass just as much, at least playing well feels rewarding.

Oh and giving all the enemies in the stage more health every time you die isn't challenging, it's just tedious.

I feel bad for taking a dump on the game for like the fourth time now, but I ended up pretty disappointed with it. For the most part the game's good, I would probably love it if the combat didn't remind me of a survival horror game.

I'm not discounting those, I'm just bitter we're getting the exceedingly mediocre H:A whereas the US gets the magnificent Demon's Souls.

Give me Demon's Souls. I need it.

Apparently we'll learn what May's games are later this month, earlier than usual apparently, there're still 2 more games. What digital game aside from Demon's Souls would you like to have EU offer?

I am absolutely terrible at video games but I loved Demon's Souls from the very beginning. Yes, it's challenging but the challenge is in being patient and learning the levels/enemies. However, I still haven't beaten it. The 3-2 boss scared me away.

It's not that the games are really being announced much earlier, just that the switch is on the 1st next month. I do agree about Hitman - I bought it for £12 in release week, and it's even cheaper than that now - feels a bit crappy for a proper Game of the Month.

Note to everyone: your age does not make your opinion on these matters any more valid (though I did sincerely enjoy @brandnh83's post). I grew up on the same servings of NES cartridges and Teddy Ruxpin commercials, yet I still find Demon's Souls to be a complete bore. It wasn't about how challenging it was. It's an incredibly tedious game. The combat system felt disjointed and floaty. The art direction was drab. Unless, that is, I was approaching and thinking of the game in the wrong way, just isn't for me.
You're awful and terrible at video games, it's okay broski.

So, when can we expect the promo cash? It's already the 12th.

I didn't even know people were using age as some kind of ammo in the argument. It's not something that ever crossed my mind.

No one should be using someone's age in the conversation, like how I was met with "games still have a sense of wonder, you're just older" as if somewhere in my post I said that Demon's Souls is the only good game this gen that offers a sense of wonder. I subsequently listed several games that gave me a sense of wonder. What I meant by that in relation to Demon's Souls was that where it is challenging, reaching a new area or boss or finding new equipment or whatever felt good because I had to earn it. And that reminded me of playing those really hard NES games in my youth.

I know you're not calling me out or anything, I just wanted to clarify that.

I played Gravity Rush through chapter 3 today and wow this is a lot of fun so far. I went into the game knowing nothing about it but I'm already getting into that Crackdown mode where I have to jump around the city exploring everything for hours. The game obviously isn't running at native resolution but it looks very good, too.

i'm starting to find kat attractive, someone help me i don't wanna fight in the waifu wars, please save me i don't wanna become one of them heeeeelllllp

I tried looking for a Kat body pillow online just now, but couldn't find anything. Here's some art of her I found though:

Just give in; it's easy. Hey, you might even find a nice Kat cosplayer at a con somewhere down the line...

oh no. the thought of kat porn just gave me an ever so slight pang of guilt. I'm reminded of the words of many others... "I would never betray my pure sweet Hanako with such lewd intentions!"

Is... is it too late? Am I too far gone already?

Played about three hours of Demon's Souls today. It's definitely more aligned with games like Mega Man than RPGs like Skyrim. I played about 20 hours of Dark Souls and hasn't touched Demon's Souls until now. The mechanics and style are almost identical but even though I knew the "rules", I still died a lot because I didn't know the levels.

To me, its worse if I find my main character not attractive (female ones). You should see my Saint's Row 3 chick. :P

I ordered GoW Ascension from the UK and it came with a 30 day trial PSN+ code. However, it doesn't seem to work on my (EU) account, so the code is up for grabs for UK folk! First one to quote gets it.

Those codes don't work if you've previously had PS+
anywa, does anyone know what the testturkey section is about in the collections section on the store?

make a new psn account with new adress then you can use it for the 30 days trial. Did that for sleeping dogs (german PS+ didn't get it).

look up the post from GraveRobberX.

I like your avatar. :P

To stay ontopic, I haven't played DS but it's been the same story with me for Dark Souls. Although the artstyle is an acquired taste and not one of mine, wich keeps me from enjoying the experience. Game itself is great, though. Exploration is fantastic, I like that in games.

I just finished Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack and I have to admit I was wrong about this title to begin with. It is a lot more enjoyable past world 2. My initial bad impression came from how easy it was in the beginning, and the physics took time to get used to. In the end I realized that it is a very enjoyable good game, which I bothered to get trophies for. However I am still not certain if I would have spend money on it as it has very little replay value after you are done. I get the impression that Drinkbox studios third game Guacemelee is even better, but I choose to wait until it gets a better deal in the future. I already have too many games to play on the Vita. I hope there are some nice PS plus deals for next week.

But they made another Tales from Space game before Guacamelee :D.

I have a physical copy, I just want a digital one for convenience. I know it's available to buy from the PS Store, but I'd prefer to get it through Plus...

DMC HD is one I'd like to see make it to Plus. ZoE HD and SH HD are others I'd hope will eventually arrive.

So I already bought Borderlands 2 on this sale, but a friend of mine wants to as well but isn't getting paid until Thursday. Will this sale still be here then or is it this week only? New to Plus.

Why exactly aren't we allowed to download saves from the cloud more than 1 time every 24 hours? Here's what just happened to me.

- Wanted to play Crysis so I downloaded my save from before I installed a new hard drive
- Launched Crysis and went to turn 3D on. System froze so I had to turn the system off by holding the power button
- Upon relaunching Crysis it said my save data was corrupted.
- No problem right? I'll just delete it and re-download it from the cloud
- I get an error saying I can't download this save again until 24 hours later.

Why do they have this restriction? It's really annoying and doesn't seem to have much sense behind it. I would understand if it were a free service they offered and did this in order to lessen server loads, but this is a feature we're paying for.

I'm guessing Crysis is one of the games with a locked save? Games with locked saves (can't be transferred to USB) have that restriction. Other games don't though.

This isn't for every save. Just for "locked" saves, which are relatively rare. No idea why Crysis (the first one, I assume?) is one of them, since it's mostly games with heavy online components that have locked saves.

Are PSVita memory cards more reasonably priced instore in the US than the UK? I'm tempted to pick up a nice big one when I'm out there on holiday, but I dunno how the prices compare.

I don't really know about the UK but here in France, cards are the same price as in the US. They just change the $ with a €. And we have a good change rate. I think it's the same with £ compared to $ so it must surely be a good deal to buy one in the US if you happen to be there.

This applies for only some games. I have most of my save files on the PS3, Cloud and my phone. (Yes, my phone.)

Will Okami HD in Europe always be free for plus users or is it only going to be free this month?!

I’m kind of out of the loop when it comes to Playstation Plus but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna join.
