PlayStation Trophy Club

#47 - Truberbrook

My 2nd playthrough after 6 years. I had to grab a few missed trophies and decided to complete again.
Short, point and click adventure game.

Just snagged the platinum for Wuthering Waves! I wasn't really chasing it, but it's one of the live service games in my current rotation, so I noticed I had only three trophies left, knocked those out, and the plat popped!

Total playtime is around 400 hours, but you could probably get the platinum in about 150 hours if I had to guess.

Very nice, that is on my list... Might actually do that for a more chill game once I platinum Hell is Us. I love the twin peaks vibes from Truberbrook, I started it just was checking it out.

Silent Hill f done! 3 playthroughs, first blind on hard/hard, then second for endings UFO 2 and 3 on story with powerpyx and lastly ending 4 on lost in the fog + cleanup. Happy I kept the save beofre the first final boss, in general bosses have additional trophy requirements some of which are a bit tricky, even on story. I'd recommend leaving the hardest difficulty for last, due to some game changing omamoris you need to get for a trophy anyway. The hardest part was to play most of "lost in the fog" without consumables, to have enough faith currency in order to unlock them all and max out all the stats.

What a great game, just awesome pretty much all around and one of the best new IPs in recent years. Absolutely loved it. The synth soundtrack really added to it all by giving those stranger things, mixed with Alan wake and control.... Just a perfect blend. The combat was pretty fun as well however the only knock is they could've had a few more enemy variety but overall just damn good.

#51 - Assasins creed origins

Took me an absurd amount of time now I have so many responsibilities. Been grinding out parts of this game here and there for nearly 8 years!

This is so bloated but a fun game overall and the setting is very cool.

Animal Well is a phenomenal game. A complex labyrinth of platforming and puzzle solving. It's so unique to have a metroidvania with essentially no combat but this one pulls it off brilliantly. There are so many secrets to uncover that I can't help but be impressed with the effort put into this world.

I highly suggest playing through the game by yourself as much as you can before looking up the locations of the secret eggs and items. It's very much worth just getting lost in the world and discovering things on your own. But a guide will almost certainly be necessary eventually if going for the platinum. Even after you get the plat, there is still a huge amount of secrets left to uncover. It just depends on how deep you want to explore the well.

This is probably the best indie game I've played since Inscryption. To each their own, but personally I feel Animal Well should have gotten the same amount of recognition that Balatro got last year.

#48 - Simon the Sorcerer Origins

My another platinum in adventure p&c game.
Easy trophy - needed 2 playthroughs, which took me combined 11h.
Game is ok, but expected something better.

The first "Ghost of…" game was a great first effort by Sucker Punch. Excellent combat and a very compelling story. The open-world is not on the level of interesting variety that Yotei has, but the story overall is better in my opinion.

But the real standout surprise is the great Legends online mode, which was much more robust and fun than I was expecting it to be. I wound up putting significantly more time into Legends than in the offline portion of the game, which has me very excited for Ghost of Yotei's upcoming Legends update next year.

2025 plat trophies wrap up. Some personal matters prevented me from pursuing more plats this year. Intended to go for 30+ or so and reach 150 total.

All in all, still a decent year.

It's down probably half of what I got last year and maybe the year before. But I only platinum games I want to play and naturally that backlog is shrinking. If I was to guess this year will be 15-20 plats and probably 10 a year going forward.

#50 - Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Edition

I wanted something special for this platinum. Thought about Uncharted on PS3. However when I've seen all these absurd and ridiculous trophies in Stanley I knew my #50. For example:
don't play The Stanley Parable for ten years or play The Stanley Parable for the entire duration of a Tuesday.

#247 - ghost of yotei

Longest I've gone without a plat since I started in 2008 or so. Hopefully 26 is a better year for me

Played 230 hours on PC and got the PS5 platinum rather quickly via cross platform progression.

Everytime I went back to the game it enticed me to start another playthrough. The game is just that good.

First platinum of the year. Took me a while to get it since the game is pretty grindy, but I'm really pleased with this one because I've been enjoying the game a lot.

Resident Evil 9 Reqiem. Incredible game. Plat scenaro same as other RE games: beat the game, then speedrun it on easy with additional requirements like no heal (here - no blood collecting) to make enough challenge points to buy infinite ammo and a bazooka to destroy the third run on hard. Totally worth it

Reanimal. Great re-entry to what is almost a genre now by its originators.
