A lot of people don't even have an X360 so their cash is in their pocket waiting to be spent.

After Feb they can make a more informed decision.

Not sure about everyone else, but there is a HOT gaming spell going on and it's spread across several machines...

it's retarded - if the PS3 spanks the X360 then the only people with broken hearts are the people who can't afford a second console - and even then it's only if they don't actually care about the games, but care about some cock waving war.

I don't buy the numbers. Even with shit yields and a 'pride' launch in Japan in Spring, surely they'd have more than 2 million units by March '07?

1million for Japan starting now - thats around 3 months. So 2 more million for US and EU launch is only 6 more months even if the yields don't improve. Thats still a fall launch for both.

I know it's gutting but I fully expect the Euro launch in March of 07.

I don't care much for PS3 as a games machine but a 300 quid bluray player is right up my street. Shame i'll have to get a Jap/US import cause of the crazy region code used this time.

Since Blu Ray region coding now includes North America and Japan in the same region, does this mean machines manufactured for Japan will work in NA and vice versa? It may be easier to ramp up production for two regions. Europe is the odd man out again though.
