My girlfriends Birthday is next week and I have decided that Im going to get her an mp3 player. She needs one for the gym and for school and I don't see her taking very good care of it so Im shying away from anything with a hard drive. Initially I had picked the ipod shuffle because well its a name brand she would associate with, it didn't have a hard drive and seemed pretty straight foward. After doing some research I was able to find THIS mp3 player and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it , or any suggestions for other products.

It's cheap, not very fancy, and doesn't have many features, but it does the trick for me:

Check out the flash players, specifically the Lyra.

Like I said, it's very cheap and not too fancy, but it's got the job done. The only disadvantage I've had is that it's very small and could be easily lost.

I've had the modestly price SanDisk 512 MB for what seems like forever. Runs on one AAA and comes with arm band. You can find it at just about every major electronic retailer.
