Po' folk Gamesplosion!

wewt!

I've been bad with managing my money this month in terms of spending it on games I'll never play because I'm too busy working, waiting to catch my bus to work / home, or drinking myself into a stupor after getting home from said jobs.

Anyhow I managed to pick up three awesome games to round out my sexy PS2 liberry from back in the days when I had a good paying job.

Neo Contra $9.98 @ Target
Taiko Drummer $29.99 @ Target
Downhill Dumbination $10 used, but in really swell condition.

Man, I can't wait to give these a spin; but first - I need to get a drink, then pass out. YAY!

Sweet. I'll require box and manual, and no glazing on the sexy girl pages. Although at this point I'm counting on Castellan to sell me his copy. So I'm obligated to him for the time being.

Sigma Star Saga = GAF E.T., I = MYSTERIOUS DESERT!

I saw the record store had a stack of shitty GBA's for $15 a pop! It's almost tempting, if not for the fact the GBA was a rancid pile of ass.

Is that clearance for Target Neo Contra? My Target sucks at clearancing.

By clearance I mean out of the case and a red tag on a shelf. Is it still in the case?

I saw those at Target too.

Band Brothers was 5 bucks there...I should have waited.

They also had DK, Zelda, 50 copies of ESPN fooz ball, and a bunch of other stuff.

Is Second Sight any good?

Actually it depends on your Target. The one closest to me, that I used to work at, just pulled it off the shelf and that was that. Meanwhile, it's still scanning at $19.99 at another Target location and is still in the display case.

This one was the Target in Fairlawn / Massilon, OH. They had a couple copies there and it was red tag, on the endcap.

Similar for Taiko Drummer. It scanned up as NOP, Not On Planogram for the unitiated. Which means someone just pulled it out of the stock room to fill space. If you're patient, and your local store has a stack of them; the price will probably drop further.

Edit: Some Target stores are clearancing various GC and GBA titles. FF:CC for $20, MZM for $20, Four Swords GC, and some other stuff Nintendorks would probably be interested in. Granted, Cheapassgamer forums probably have more info on this.

Second Sight was pretty solid from the couple hours I spent with it. If it was under 10 new I'd say go for it. If you're so inclined though, ebgames usually has it used for 7.99 (?) b/c, which after coupons I got for 5 something.

TTOB: You also might be interested in World Reborn, the other GBA RPG/shmup. It's coming out this November, but I've decided to start the hype early since SSS sucks so much.

Plus, it's only $13.99 with preorder! I'll bump my WR hype thread with the details.

BLARGH! SHUT UP, BUTT!

I'm loyal to Wayforward original product to the grave, yo! :P

I'll check out this other game though. I still need a means of playing GBA games. GC and GBAplayer is still looking like the best bet. I wanna play Chibi Robo and the GBA Service Pack 2 is horrendously overpriced for five year old hardware shoehorned into a thimble.

Have you played Rescue Heroes: Billy Blazes? It's also $13.99.
