Nintendo about shut this down or they will have to change up their designs.
Nintendo can go firstNintendo about shut this down or they will have to change up their designs.
Sony and Pocket Pair gonna turn Palworld into their own 'Pokemon'
step up, Nintendo.
This fallYa so
Whens it coming to PS5?
Microsoft cannot offer what Sony offered Pocketpair. Beyond money, Sony has a hand in almost every line of entertainment out there.Crazy, MS Gaming just cannot close a deal. Although after what they did to Tango, can you blame Pocketpair for running to Sony?
I can't believe they would slight Nintendo like this. Sony just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Japanese public, after hearing about this, are not going to want to purchase Palworld for either system, nor will they purchase any of Sony's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Sony has alienated an entire market with this move.
Sony, publicly apologize to Nintendo and cancel "Palworld Entertainment" for PS5 or you can kiss your business goodbye.
There is no exclusives anymorethis is WILD lmfao
xbox exclusive and they're partnering up with sony
Crazy, but this is SMEJ and Aniplex (a subsidiary of SMEJ), not SIE.
The lawsuit from nintendo must be a smoke, if they can do this. Why is it crazy then?
Not something to think much about. Why is it crazy then?
Right move for Pocketpair. Sony probably smells a Minecraft here.
Microsoft will not jump in till Pocketpair can prove it has the chops. Better to go with Sony and build the game properly.
Much cheaper right now. That's a ballsy risk for Sony. I applaud them.
Play the game. There is potential. All work is still to be done. Far from a 1.0 release.Pocketpair hasn't proven themselves yet?
Why Sony Music though?
Why Sony Music though?
Crazy, MS Gaming just cannot close a deal.
The Activision Blizzard King merger; yes I might have heard of it as I do not live under a rock....I'm not sure if you missed the deal Microsoft closed a while back, but it was quite a big news story for a while.
isnt it completely different?People never listen

I think Sony will also try to fill the void left by Nintendo no longer making a dedicated home console with the PS5
DualSense & Astro Bot seem like a pitch to the devs & studios to make unique games that take advantage of the DualSense controller.www.neogaf.com
I think people are confusing this for rights to the game. That's not what this is.
This is a partnership for the general IP separate from the game.
Sony provides the capital and resources to expand the IP, but they don't own the rights to the game. That still belongs to pocketpair.
Easier way to expand the IP,Why Sony Music though?
Why Sony Music though?
And Aniplex.
It's to capitalise on the IP and expand it in to other areas like merchandise and potentially TV/movies.
For some historical context, SMEJ (a different company to the American SME, btw) had a video game production business since the late 80's, and used to be the partial owner of SCE until 2004; Sony Corp. and SMEJ had each one 50% ownership of the company, though it didn't matter as much since SMEJ was a subsidiary of Sony, anyway.Easier way to expand the IP,
Aniplex is the keyword, it is an animation company under Sony, which MS doesn't have animation stuff, it's reasonable for Palworld to be more popular if they can get some animation.this is WILD lmfao

Yes, although SIE is also involved (through WWS, not just the console side) by contributing Astro Bot to the Palworld PS5 release.
...Doesn't really matter, not much more than Aloy in Genshin Impact or Fortnite (albeit those are two significant games to guest in,) but it's an interesting turn of events.
You're not basing that off a random person on twitter saying that right?
Yeah, that worked out great for Playstation with all of the former MS exclusives coming to the platform....I'm not sure if you missed the deal Microsoft closed a while back, but it was quite a big news story for a while.
Huh? My thread was about Sony targeting the market left open by Nintendo not having a traditional home console.isnt it completely different?
Palworld might be their own 'Pokemon' franchise IP
but the thread you shared is about making a home console
