the red everyone idolizes is the red from gold and silver, who is 3 years older, the actual pokemon master, strongest leveled pokemon in the game, and was on a mountain training for years, from that, everyone also started reading the manga of his adventures inwhich he didnt get by by just pure luck, now add the sexualized red(and green/blue) from pixiv and you have today''s red, so overall we shouldnt even expect that red unless theres a huge timeskip
