If I'm not mistaken, there was that one trainer in XY where the effectiveness of typings was reversed. I found that pretty fun.

I think horde battle is going to be a series staple since it was in the Hoenn remake and it's helps with EV training.
As for triple battles getting reintroduced, that will probably happen for the gen 5 remake, though it will be interesting to see how they do that.
Yeah Inverse battle was cool and should have been given a bigger focus than sky battle, heck they could had a gym leader who uses Inverse battle.
I am guessing that Game Freak shoved inverse battle into the background because they feared that it would cause confusion for new comers and younger player about the type chart.
I don't know, I could easily see them stretching that "one badge" much longer when all is said and done.
I remember Diamond and Pearl really stretched out the end with Platinum and Heart Gold and Soul Silver stuff---the latter which I found to be probably one of the most transparent marketing stunts in the entire series run with the N.E. Pichu bullshit, and the random Johto Festival. I sort of respect XY for not making the ORAS advertising as obvious as that was, going for a bit more subtlety and using the Mega Evolution specials to mainly serve that purpose instead of the actual show. The most flagrant element is really Shota, but he's a pretty cool dude so I can't complain.
The anime's state (1 badge left for the League) and the use of ORAS in Worlds 2016 could be seen as evidence. If a "Pokémon Z" was planned for the second half of 2016, it would be incredibly odd to market its elements almost a year ahead. They would be old news by the time the game releases, making the whole point of Z-related evidence kinda moot (in that the same things could be incorporated in a new-Generation game).
Admittedly, a final Gen 6 game could be much more than just "Z". The reason they are nearing the conclusion of the Kalos saga could be related to the new content such game would provide -- maybe a new secondary region and whatnot. Likewise, maybe it could put a hand in improving the state of the metagame (through a mechanic related to Ash-Greninja, for example) for Worlds 2017. But all of these conditions take a lot of assumptions, and I'm merely suggesting an alternate scenario.
So, when will the leaks start?
By the way where do we stand with the new region hint that the backpacker in X and Y teased about?
Originally I felt that Pokémon Z would be set in a new region but after seeing that the Animé is dealing with Zygarde in Kalos is making me think otherwise.
Damn it Game Freak what are you cooking up for Pokémon Z.
Next week....in game magazines.
A Nintendo Direct in about 2 days. That's a very good sign for a new pokemon game, right?
The Mega Evolution specials were a really cool way to advertise ORAS and set up Team Flare. It's kind of weird since I'm used to the anime screwing up team plots.
Incidentally, it recently occurred to me that we may have been looking at the Strange Souvenir the wrong way all this time:

Pokemon announcement please! Kimishima will be forever in my heart if the first Direct under him has the next Pokemon game announced, I don't care if the announcement really has nothing to do with him, I will just always associate them.
I just see an upside down face...
Welp, I'll still hold out some hope, but it looks like this Direct is just for the US and EU. It's also just supposed to focus on updates for upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles.
Lol that ain't gonna happen. It's a mainline release so they gonna hype it up for a few months. I'm thinking a mid February release.Surprise December release.
Since it's been suggested that there are two Zygarde Cores, it's possible that only one of them is in Kalos (namely, the Zygarde 50% we encounter in XY). The other one is possibly in a different region, and finding it could in theory be related to the game's main quest -- a motive to visit another region. That's kind of what I had in mind for a supposed "Pokémon Ranger Z" -- one core being in the Ranger Z region, and the other being implied to be the one from Kalos. But it can't be denied that the same premise could be used in a core RPG, arguably even more easily due to Kalos making a direct appearance.

I'm playing Blaze Black 2 right now and I need some help beating the Elite 4. This game is hard as fuck. Victory Road was one of the hardest final dungeons I ever played in a game. Every trainer in there was like fighting Red, but there were a few who were even worse.
The Elite 4 seem to be the same way. I've only tried beating the Fighting gym leader, so that's who I'm focusing on at the moment, but I'm considering everyone's weaknesses.
Here's my team:
Volcarona is on the reserve. I think I could switch out Leevett's Strength for something else, but I'm not sure which. I'm also iffy to the changes I made to my Sawsbuck. I realized I never utilized her Chlorophyll ability the whole game so I gave her Sunny Day and Solar Beam. It would greatly help if my Porygon2 could evolve, but looking up online, the Dubious Disc I need is currently in a city that's blocked. I assume the rest of the dungeons and cities will open up after I beat the game, but I could use that Dubious Disc and the Dream Eater TM right now. There's also another Zoaroak blocking something in Victory Road.
I think I need to utilize my strengths and item usage a bit better. All these trainers seem like they're prepared for any type of Pokemon I have. Marshal has Dark attacks to handle my Hypno and Golurk, has Ice Punch to take out Golurk, fighting attacks to take out Leevett, Sawsbuck, Zoroak and Porygon2, and Stone Edge to take Out Volcarona. All his bases are covered. Also I meant to switch that Icicle Plate for a Mind Plate, but that's my team and I'm just looking for some help in this.
Curious, that out of all the .gifs posted in that thread, that treehouse employee decided to post the XY .gif to her Twitter and then followed it up by saying to get hype.
EDIT: since the .gif featured eternal flower floette, possible way to obtain it incoming?
I can't help it but I am fucking hyped for the direct.
My dream:
Pokemon Z + Pokemon Ranger Z announced.
Theory time - people who complain about Pokemon XY "animation being crap" never played amie.
Well you know CoroCoro technically is released after the Direct on the 15th.
Not only has no mainstream Pokemon game been revealed in a general Direct, the RPGs have never been featured in a Direct that wasn't a Pokemon-specific or E3 Direct at all.
I'm not really holding my breath.
So the Red Zygarde Core and Blue Zygarde Core theory were correct.
The only reason they had a pokemon-only direct for X/Y was because it was the start of a new generation on a new handheld. We're already in the middle of Gen VI so it's not that serious for them to do all that. Plus, ORAS got a worldwide press release and teaser trailer out of nowhere. It's not like it's impossible for them to fit a Z announcement into a direct. I'm not saying I expect them to announce Z but with all the hooplah and Zygarde forms we've been shown, it'd be smart for them to follow up with an announcement of a new game, and soon.
