Figurines, game kits, placemats and a specially marked fried chicken bucket are coming to KFC stores this spring.

While some fast food outlets prefer to herald the coming of spring with floral-based treats featuring plum and cherry blossom, KFC is welcoming the warmer months with Nintendo’s money-printing franchise Pokémon. Let’s take a look at all the gorgeous goodies they’ll have available in stores around Japan from 17 March.

“Straw figurines” can be ordered with any drink for an additional 190 yen (US$1.67) each. While you won’t be able to choose your character, there are six available, featuring (clockwise from top left): Keromatsu (Froakie), Harimaron (Chespin), Fokko (Fennekin), Ninfia (Sylveon), Pikachu, and Yancham (Pancham).

If you want to catch ’em all, you can purchase the “Complete Pack” for 2,500 yen, which will include all the straw figurines, including a display stand, along with six free drink coupons, all inside an original tote bag. Also available from 17 March will be two special game kits, made from cardboard, which let you “catch” various Pokémon by throwing a Poké Ball at them.

Each game pack contains 16 character cards in either a street scene or forest environment.

And from 21 April, to coincide with the annual Golden Week holiday period, there’ll be a specially marked bucket containing four pieces of the Colonel’s crispy fried chicken, along with fries and some Crispy Strips, and a limited-edition Pikachu-adorned placemat, all for 1,890 yen.

If you’re looking for a place to feast your eyes and your belly on some gorgeous Pokémon-themed goods, be sure to stop by KFC early on during the promotion period because once all the goods sell out, they’ll be gone forever!

Pikachu has never looked so happy to be stuffed with dead chicken.

It's a shame how our stuff over here pales in comparison.

If anyone one from Japan can hook me up with that complete pack, I'm in the UK, I'm sure we can work out a deal.
PM me.

They always have really good toys in fastfoods in Japan if the commercials are to be believed.

With that said it's been a while since they last put Pokemon in McDonalds Japan.
