Pokemon MMORPG on the Revolution?

I'm not big fan of MMORPGs, but what do you guys think about Pokemon MMORPG on the Revolution. Is that you can become a trainer, professor, or be part of team rocket. Then make clans up like every other MMORPG then progress from there. Nintendo could make money by having different sets of plans.

If they have the game on the internet and support through a hard drive. They could expand the world through updates by downloadable content or CD upgrades that can be brought from stores for $20 bucks like what EA is doing with the SIMs...

Also you could play this through lan parties.

What do you guys think of this idea?

Spamming? Why would you even think that??

To Whom It May Concern,

This is a notice of your eviction from room 109. You have three days to pack up and leave as of 11/24/04. We had hoped we could come to some agreement about rent and posting situation, but it is now obvious to us that it is a lost cause. We hope the best in your future endeavours.

The pokemon MMORPG that I envision will have you as a trainer collecting pokemon from the wild and also entering touneys to win badges. I foresee nintendo having special event where rare pokemon become available or rare pokemon only available in specific dates of the year.

About the party idea, I can see maybe having a partner for double battles and it would be fun to belong to a specific gym and battle against other gyms for prizes and stuff. You should also be able to bring your gameboy/DS? pokemon into the game and have them be interchangeable. Raising stats on the go and then using them on your Cube/Revolution game.

EDIT: I'm not clueless I know what's going on, but the subject is of interest to me.

Pokemon MMORPG won't happen. Too child oriented. Kids have trouble getting online. There are laws about allowing children under 13 to communicate online. There is too much of a risk that people will start shouting obscenities all the time. Blah blah blah....

Well, there's that Disney MMORPG, but that surely requires more hands-on monitoring than Nintendo wants to do...

Alternatively, they could do a limited-interaction system like RE:Outbreak...

It would suck for one reason

The players.

No offense to anyone here but we all know that the majority of pokemon players are kids, and in my experience you let kids on MMORPGs, bad things happen.

I would love a pokemon MMORPG with the all out pvp of UO. just because I would log in and kill people in game who are 12 year old kids in real life and tell them pokemon is doomed. and maybe even get to kill Ash. then all the pedophiles would log in and try to pick up the kids or something.

Heh, earlier in the day I Work For Ubisoft made about ten threads in a row in the course of like thirty minutes.
