Listening to each gym leader theme, I'd still rank Hoenn and Kanto as the best. Johto's better than I remembered. I hope the Hoenn remake gym leader theme keeps the original's intensity.

Okay guys, so since I was bored (and because I have way too much time on my hands) I kind of came up with a nomenclature for the Pokemon series in the vein of other similar Japanese series, tell me what you think:

What is with the G anyway?
 
Is there a better piece of music in any of the Pokemon games than the Eterna Forest theme? I think not. Gen 4 was my least favorite, but man the soundtrack was just so smooth.

I think I'm gonna go with sapphire and rock a ludicolo/swampert combo.

I actually like samurott... a bipedal evolution based more closely on dewott would've just been better.
Serperior ain't too bad but doesn't live up to the promise of smugleaf at all.
Emboar is the #2 worst starter form behind braixen.

All those Pokemon look cool and better than their starting form. Samurott looks a fucking majestic beast. Who would have thought that clown in a dress had it in 'em?

Serperior is cool as fuck, it's just HORRIBLY outclassed by anything because of the Grass type curse and the stats it had versus the move pool it could use. Things would have been a little better for the guy if he got Contrary legal before Gen 5 ended.

Still holding out hope for the Mega form getting Grass/Dragon with Contrary. Draco Meteors and Leaf Blades that raise his Sp. Atk by 2 instead of decreasing them while coming from something with that speed and bulk sounds so right. :lol
 
I've experienced every gen except gen 1 and gen 3. I'm super excited for this to come out. It just sucks NOA is being lazy again about box color. I love the design of the new version of Gorudon.
 
I think grass types need a slight buff and water types needs a slight nerf. That's why I think the poison weakness should be swapped between the two and grass should be super effective vs. electric.

Red is easy. All his Pokemon can be counter without much difficulty . For me iris was real hard.

Worst case scenario, we can just print out a cover with the colors. I do really like that design.

Good point. For me, I loved Tepig's evo line (as well as every other fire starter in the series), but like Torchic and Chimchar before it, it suffered the dreaded Fire/Fighting curse once it reached its final form.

I don't think there's a starter that I completely hate yet. They all just took a little getting used to.
 
Lumiose City was such a mess, incredibly annoying to traverse through. And I was originally hoping all the cities would be as grand as it lol.

I keep remembering all sorts of things that come up in R/S and I can't wait to see how they handle them. Diving, Fortree, Sootopolis, Pacifidlog ...

I agree. The camera when exiting out of a building, just the camera in general was really bad in that city.

I think they'll do some camera angles on the cable car section. Briney's boat ride is an opportunity for some 3D boatery. The awakening of the main weather duo, as well as any cutscenes with all three are extra chances.

Fortree City seems to be made for 3D goodness. Route 119 could be cool, as it's one of those routes that just goes up and up...
 
They better be trying to express the natural beauty that the region boasts. I hope GF realizes why people like Hoenn. They've lost their touch a bit with Unova and Kalos.

I really hope they don't give us funky angles in Fortee City. That was one of my favourite locations.

erm what

Empoleon's design is based on a sea king. Hence it has features of a trident and wears an armor. Even the name is Emperor (Penguin) Napoleon.
