so wait, is this for the Playchan? (which would make it use smart media, i thought it used SD...) or is this something entirely different?
 
Leave to Nintendo to embrace a mostly obsolete flash format. They just couldn't use SD...you know, like EVERYTHING ELSE.

This is the OTHER GBA video player, isn't it? A year or more ago, Nintendo and some other company released a Smart Media-based movie player for the GBA. The Play-Yan thing is new, uses SD cards, and has better quality.

nobody's gonna do that because Nintendo/Majesco brought video to GBA long before PSP did...

not only that, but I've been recoring and playing MP3's on an officially licensed MP3 player for GBA...

If anything, Sony doing something that's old news for GBA owners...
