Just a Belgian source right now.

An explosion and what sounded like gunfire in the central station in Brussels. Not a lot of extra information. The headline says "man with explosive belt", but nothing else. God dammit.

Het centraal station in Brussel is op dit moment ontruimd op bevel van de politie. De exacte oorzaak is momenteel onbekend. Zeker is dat er een (kleine) ontploffing heeft plaatsgevonden, mogelijk gevolgd door nog kleinere ontploffingen of geweerschoten.

"Central station got evacuated, unsure of the cause at the moment. There's certainly been a small explosion, possibly followed by smaller explosions/gunshots."

UPDATE: no one hurt, attacker neutralised by the military.

I can't say how it is in Brussels at this hour, but I've seen the Antwerp central station be packed around this time. That's during the weekends though, might be different now.

The only bad thing about this person being dead (if he was indeed about to carry out an attack) is that they can't squeeze him for info on any like-minded people he might have known. Other than that, good riddance, burn in hell. The world is a slightly better place without him in it.

More info from same source, still unconfirmed: apparently his belt malfunctioned. Military saw a guy with wires coming out of his clothing, neutralised him and then evacuated the station.
