If I get stopped by a cop for a traffic ticket and he lets me go how many days does he have to file the ticket? does he have to give it to me at the time or does he have 30 days to give it to me? and does he have the right to make me do something else instead of giving me the ticket for those supposed 30 days?

He pulled me over for a traffic ticket and he let me go but he works at my school and is forcing me to do some form of community service or he will give me the ticket and 2 points on my liscence.

As far as I know you are clear as long as you dont sign it. He cant come back and give it to you.
