Possibly the most insane action figure collection ever

Not bad, for contemporary comic book store type stuff. I was really hoping to see something like old and rare like Titus and Megator. I'd hate to be the person that eventually has to get rid of that collection.

Looking through that series of pictures, just when you thought it was going to end, the pictures continue with some fresh shots of some other part of the room. And then just when you thought it was really going to end, the dude comes up with even more pictures of another part of the room again.

this is why i'll never buy an action figure. i'm scared that if i start down that road I may never stop and will end up with a collection like that.

I love how a lot of the figures are loose. Just makes it seem more "collecting for the fun of it" than "OMG PRISTINE CONDITION EVERYTHING." although it is obvious things are kept in good condition.

Wow, not exactly a fan of the content though. Some of the stuff is good but eh... I had a huge collection when I was younger. Not this big, but my shit was in a massive tub or two. Not one still in package. Tried to get everyone from the Marvel and DC universe I liked, and would pit insane fights together. Then I'd have wars all across my room. There were GI Joe's, nearly the whole wwf at one point, and a load of superheroes. And anyone else who could hang with em in a war. Not to mention the accessories. Good times. Had a hell of a lot of trouble getting Juggernaut and more so Apocalypse. This is insane, but I couldn't stand having em set up when I wasn't playing with them when I was younger.. Er, actually I could but not each one standing on it's own. Just sprawled out like casualties in a warzone. This is nuts but a little weak on taste.

I started a collection back when I was in university, but I started giving it away once I finished school. I was just getting sick of the clutter and need to keep stuff safe, and my younger cousins and my friends' kids really like the unexpected gifts.

For example, last week a friend's 6 year old son wandered into my office and came out with a boxed Optimal Optimus and asked if he could have it. So I gave it to him. He didn't believe me, so he asked if he could have it for FREE. I just laughed and told him to go nuts, and he did. He even left the box and instructions behind when he went home. That toy is getting PLAYED with.

Today, my collection is really small. My favorites are my MOMC Thundercats Lion-o, mint loose complete Thundercats Bengali, carded South American Thundercats minis, and a nice MOTU Sorceress MOC. I can look at each item and remember receiving it as a gift or the act of buying it for myself. The Sorceress was something I picked up for $25 at an antiques store that was going out of business, and always wanted as a kid. The Lion-o was the first Christmas present I got from my wife after we got married. I was surprised to get it from her, because we were living on her $8/hr job and the figure cost like $100. That's the kind of collection that I want.

Every now and then I'll be walking through a flea market or garage sale and see something I think is cool or underpriced and I'll think "BUY IT!!!", but I stop myself because once I get it home I'll probably just throw it in a box somewhere and only see it if I'm looking for something.

good, that's what toys are for. :)

I don't like the whole idea of keeping toys in their box and nursing them like they're made of glass. At least take it out of the box and pose it in compromising positions, preferably with action figures from other franchises which make for hilarious situations. Something like Optimus Prime spanking the Alien Queen :lol

I thought The 40 Year Old Virgin was just a movie.
it's really a mock-umentary

you know, i'm glad the guy is married, and his wife collects stuff too, because could you imagine the first time you took a new gf back to that house?

I'd really hate to admit how much of that collection I could name, let alone what's passed through my shelves. :p

Right there with ya.

My home office walls at this point are covered with WWE Classic Superstars.. the complete run. And to top it off I have 2 book cases filled with just WWE figures and Marvel Legends.

I'll have to post pics
