Post GIfs or short videos of the best 2D hand made animated sequences you can think of.

What are the best few seconds of hand made animation you have ever seen?

Think of it in terms of detail and animation quality. Not just a scene where something cool happens.

It has to be hand made. No CGI please. Also, try to keep it short and show only the specific scene you want. Or at least a timestamp if you can only find your scene in a longer video. Post the titles too please.

For me it's this sequence from Genocyber:

So much detail on every single cell and that "3D corridor" sequence as Genocyber goes smoothly through the body of the enemy robot... This is peak anime for me and, naturally, it's from the 90's. It must have been a pain to animate. And despite stuff like Roger Rabbit, Akira and Ghost in the Shell having more consistent quality and a larger amount of impressive scenes, this particular scene tops everything i have seen so far, personally.

Post yours.

Anything Richard Williams did for The Thief and the Cobbler. Here's a short clip showing the level he was working at:

Yeah, same with Roger Rabbit. He was very keen on animating at 24 unique frames per second in all scenes, but also moving the camera in 3D space, which was very complicated for 3D animation.

Superman from 1941. Wonderfully fluid animation with great lighting. It must have looked like Man of Steel back then.

Here's another one i remember loving.

It's from the Dominion Tank Police intro.

The way the tank is rotating, with all the shine and shadows being animated.

I loved it when they made animations that would normally need a 3D model. Must have been very hard to do right.

This is why i loved to watch anime in the 90's.
