Ho man. Trip to Japan is definitely in my backlog. Those are some awesome photos!

I’ve got a lot more cool photos! I might post some of them later if anyone is interested...

Tricky I Shadow, you are so very attractive -_-

Awwww, thanks! That really does mean a lot to me!

Sometimes I just don't feel very attractive at all : (

I'm pretty curious as to what the rest of GAF thinks.

Hmmmm......I haven't posted in here in quite a while, so I guess I'll share a little piece of my incredible solo trip to Japan from April. I went on an 11 day tour with a group of people that I had never met before. It was probably the best time of my life:

Goddamnit, I'm envious. :/

Niiiiiice, probably be my next car....in like 10 years :lol

I kinda wish I got it over the Lancer GTS I bought last year. The Lancer is flashy, but the GTI drives like a dream and that turbo charged engine makes me horny.

Mind if I ask, how much money did you spend for 11 days? I'm interested in visiting Japan some time.

Also, beautiful pics!:D

I'm not really 100% sure.....it has ‘EFFECT’ written on the tag if that helps?

The tour, which was so jam-packed, cost me just over $7,000 AU and included the plane ride to and from Japan, 9 nights in various (amazing!) hotels, daily all you can eat breakfasts, 5 lunches and a one way bullet train fare from Kyoto to Tokyo.

When you factor in spending money it cost me about $10,000 AU, and it was worth every penny! The whole experience blew me away! Japan is just so clean (like obsessively), everything is alive and green and the people are so humble! Beautiful!

I definitely felt like I got my monies worth with the tour I went on. We had our own private bus, a tour guide and even an escort to help us every step of the way. She was even nice enough to take us to Gion St in Kyoto to see some rare Geishas!

The sole reason I want to go to Japan isn't for the girls, isn't for the culture, it's so I can walk around in Tokyo at night while it's raining. That's it because I think it would be fucking awesome.

Onkel - you look like Keifer Sutherland in Dark City with those glasses. :lol

Hmm...you have to really know your stuff and constantly be adapting to new tech/design trends. When you're working for yourself, confidence and pitching ability is as important as the work itself. A huge portion of the job is being an expert salesmen. Knowing what to say and when to say it, enough to entice clients over and make them want, think, feel and love what you love or want them to love.

Also, I'd say contacts/connections are also a fundamental part of it. If you don't have good connects already (people within the industry, or who have widespread reach), you're going to hit a stumble block early on and find things dry up.

It's such an incredibly difficult thing to make it on your Jack Jones. But with a bit of luck, confidence, industry prominent friends and ability, you might be able to make it. I'm not really the person to ask, as I'm far from making it yet. I'm just trying real hard at the mo.
Thanks for the good words. I have a couple connections in the marketing/music industry who ive done flyers for, just gotta finish school and better my craft before i can start serious works. right now with a part time job and school i dont have much time to do freelance as i did last year. but it'll come.

thanks again.

Onkel, what happened to the frames you had? I remember it looking much better than the two in these latest pics.
I want new ones. the Ray Bans remind me of the Bullitt villain driver.

Farewell party. I am waiting to get a haircut when I get back to America. Also, that is not my natural hair color. We dyed it and it just kept getting lighter and lighter. Can't wait to be back to black. Haha

Yeah, I'm thinking the second pair as well. The first pair draws your eye to the glasses, instead of your face. The glasses should complement your face instead of distracting from it. A pair of silver rimmed, frameless glasses would probably look pretty good on you.

The second ones look like they're too small for his face though.

And I've never been a fan of the GTI but that interior looks nice on the wolfsburg.

wait... silver-rimmed and frameless don't go together. If they're frameless, they have (by definition) no rims. Did you mean half frames, or did you leave out an "or" between those two words?

frameless glasses:

wearing brass-rimmed glasses at the moment, frameless glasses are not an option for me.
I want to wear something completely different as the slim metal rim type glasses have been with me for the better part of my life so far.

Edit: other suggestions are welcome!

Yeah, I meant half rimmed. I agree that the second pair were too small for his face, I was just stating that they were the better pair of the two.

Also lmao at Jambo's pic zoom.

The lighter tone of the tortoiseshell on the second pair works much better with your skin and hair color than the heavy black frames; you should try to find that color in a thin or medium-thick frame and a somewhat wider rectangular shape.
