I'm no Jason but I'm at 240 right now and only weighed 180 about 13 years ago. I was definitely skinny. I hated it at the time. Took weight gain shakes, worked out like a madman and only got super lean when I wanted muscle mass. Then the magic happened. My metabolism slowed down. I swear it was over night. I could then work out and build muscle without it melting away.

Oh and I got much love for the bald. They make my receding hairline look like a full head of hair. ;)

Yes, according to the BMI. I used to be 150lb for a long time, currently I'm at 160 and I'm still thin. I think 170 or 180 would be fine for me, but I can't seem to gain. :D
 
I know. :( I've always been incredibly skinny and I have an incredibly fast metabolism.

I have some health problems, which don't help either.

I'm 6"4" so yeah 180 was skinny. Keep at it though. I never needed to work out 2 hours either. I'm not joining a body building competition any time soon so 3-4 nights a week of 30 minutes of intense work does the trick.
I feel for you man. Hopefully your body type doesn't consume you like it did me. I look back at it as a waste of energy worrying so much about it. Skinny was out back then, seems like it's all the rage now. Embrace it!:D

not as bad as you but still pretty damn skinny
6' and 150. No matter how much (or what) I eat my weight stays the same.

I have no clue, I didnt even know it was on in Dublin that day, we just happened to go into the city and the march was on. As far as I know its on everywhere not sure if its on the same day everywhere though.

I had the same problem before I started exercising.

It's all about a good food/exercise proportion.

I've always had a really fast metabolism, so it's been hard to gain weight.

You just have to eat protein rich foods (not a lot of food, but the right kind of food) and exercise accordingly.

Edit: Reading some of these posts, I realize how america has a different sense of appropriate weight. U guys am crazy.

I'm always jealous of you hard-gainers, I'm always watching my weight, trying not to put on too much fat/muscle. But I guess the grass is always greener.
 
Yeah, it's funny how things are never the way you want them to be.

I want to gain weight but it's hard. You have to be careful not to gain it.

I used to think that as well, then I started eating more. If you're a hard gainer you might have to eat, what you think is, a ridiculous amount of food.

If you really want to gain weight you should start counting calories. Chances are you're overestimating how much you eat.

trust me I eat A LOT. :lol Its no big deal though I'm not actually trying to gain weight I'm fine the way I am. I also have low bone density (my dad gave me a fast metabolism but he also gave me bad bones) which contributes to my low weight as well.
