RedMercury, wht kind of dog is that?

Heh. No clue. A mut. She was the runt of the litter, and even after seeing her parents we have no clue as they were muts too. (We also found out that a litter can have multiple fathers.. so we might not have even met the father.) Kind of why I freaked out so much when I saw Oli's dog, because they look very similar. But Oli is just as clueless as I am as to the origin of our fine little pooches.

Either way, I think part of the charm of Lula and also Meatball is that they are not a breed that you can point to and say "This is what this dog is. This is how this dog should look." They just are. And because of the random chances of difrent breeds all mixing together, it makes this particular blend so cool. It's chance. I consider myself pretty lucky to have a dog like Lula.

3AM in the morning and I'm going on about my dog.. . I think I need some sleep.

Dragon Gobi (Gobioides Broussonetti) (aptly named -- I bought it because it reminded me of a Chinese Dragon)

PetSmart for $6.oo -- Nocturnal fresh water lungfish -- because of the lungs, it can tolerate various water conditions including fresh water to brackish.

One warning though: Will eat all of your bottom feeder scavenger fish. I had Emerald Green Korys, Bichir fish, and Chocolate Albino Plecostomus; all eaten by the Dragon Gobi - beautiful creature, though. Guppies seem to be fine, but even if they were under attack, the breed so madly they'd have another batch of 20 by the end of the week, anyway.

Can grow up to 18-22 inches, so have a large tank ... I'd say 20 Gallons at the VERY minimum, though it would prefer a larger tank as it matures. Mostly sifts through the sand for food, so make sure to place some frozen goodies at the bottom for it to munch on at night.

Needs a place to hide in the day, so I suggest you buy a tunnel or make one yourself by using PVC piping (won't float) glued with rocks + sand for decor (if you wish).

I never realized it had serrated teeth until my friend took pictures of it... it can be particularly violent around feeding time, but most the fish won't impede on its territory provided they don't feed near or in the same fashion.

Awesome! Thanks for all the info. Maybe when my residence is a bit more permanent I'll invest in a sizable aquarium.

Juan Miguel. About four years old and just over four feet long. We have two cats as well, but no pictures accessible at the moment.

Sorry for the bump, but I love to share my baby lizard.

My fucking digital camera broke after a valiant 3 years of service (yeah, it was ancient) so I haven't had a chance to cam whore young Conan, son of O'Brien, yet. Since I'm too lazy to take several rolls of film to the store and get them developed the old fashioned way, I snapped a few pictures of Conan on my webcam for your viewing pleasure.

First, the Stats:

Breed: Airedale Terrier
Age: A little over 3 months
Weight: 21.5 lbs (probably a bit more now)

I took the above picture right before he went into his trademark "WTF are you looking at" head tilt. You can kind of see him moving his head to the side.
Picture%2037.jpg

Smiling for the camera.
Picture%2040.jpg

Tearing apart a juicy plastic steak.
Picture%2045.jpg

Nap time.

My stealth is no match for Conan's ears; he quickly picks up my attempt to snap a picture of him while asleep.

BunBun, Sonic, Pepsi and Angel :)

Sweet. Do you still have the Pepsi vs. BunBun MK-style pic?

My mother's rabbit has a bit of an attitude problem, though he and I get along just fine (probably because I would always stay up late with him during his most active hours).

I think I have it on my old PC. I'll check tonight.

Only BunBun has an attitude out of the 4. The other 3 will sit still and watch TV, BunBun must have ADD. He is always hoping around causing trouble, but that makes him the most fun to play with.

Best dog and best pictures ever.

My dog does the same "WTF are you saying to me?!? I try hard but I don't understand..." head tilt and I love it.

I can't believe that's the first instance of Nintendogs in this thread! :lol

And I didn't expect to see horsies. Neiiigh siree. I've gotta say, that's pretty freaking awesome. There's a dog on the first page against a snowy background with a coat so vivid it looks photoshopped... that's also pretty awesome.

I don't have any pets. We used to have a dog called Sandy, but I was too young to retain any memories there. Before any decent mental faculty had set in, she'd "ran away". Since then we've had hamsters, goldfish... stuff like that. I remember when my brother's hamster died. It had been hoarding it's own poo. We'd been feeding it and having plenty of food for it, which it was eating... but for some reason it liked to keep hold of it after it came out of the other end. We'd clean the house out and put it back and then one week the ritual was about to begin a new and we realised what the smell was... he'd passed on and left a bounty of crap. RIP harry the hamster.

The poo-fest has left me weary of pets but I'd really love a dog. My friends' seem so good n' stuff. Sometimes they seem a bit sick of their pets from time to time, but I guess cos I don't see em and hear em yappin all the time, I'm not. I can't say for sure whether I'd keep up on looking out for and cleaning up after one though. Ah well.

pet hedgehog? Is that not like cruel. I remember flicking around daytime tv think it was Sally Jessy Raphiel or whatever the hell her name is and they had hedgehogs on and every1 was like wtfbbq. I see them from time to time here in Northern Ireland, actually haven't seen one in a while. Last one I saw I thought was a rat until I got close to it (hey it was dark) they are cute little things, only bested by guinea pigs.

On another note curse you parents I want a dog or cat.

On second thought that would be a tough battle. I have seen a mongoose kill a small cobra before but this is really large.

Can mongoose kill all kinds of snake?

MY MONGOOSE WILL BE ABLE TO

Sony Cybershot F717

What the hell, I thought you had a Canon? My 4MP Cybershot gives shitass pictures.

Do you do ANY post-processing on the images at all? You shrink/resize them I guess (what software do you use?), anything else?

Ok there's so many awesome pets here but this one:
Picture%20002.jpg

is the cutest thing I have ever seen! The dog in those videos is awesome as well

I've got a whippet cross breed. I think I've mentioned her before - abused and beaten by some cunts, then picked up by an animal shelter, adopted by some other abusive cunts, taken BACK to the same shelter, a few months there and then we adopted her. She went from a seriously underweight, bony, scared little mess of a dog to this - a perfect, healthy dog and family pet

And one of her when she was getting up to yawn and stretch :lol

Cute Whippet! I love sighthounds; they are my favorite line of dog breeds. I'm sorry to hear she had such a poor home prior to coming to you, but it is nice to know that she is well loved and cared for now. ^^

Thanks. She was a total mess when we got her. She was scared of loud voices, any sudden movement etc because she thought we would hurt her. We got her when she was about 16 months old, and we've had her for almost 5 years. It took a lot of work but she's like a totally different dog now. The poor thing didn't even know how to play fetch or any kind of game. We gave her toys to play with and she would just hold them and wash them every couple of days. She's just so playful and friendly now though, she doesn't have any problems like that at all any more.
