Personally i'm expecting at least twice the amount of people for CoD than Halo. Maybe i'm underestimating things but my Gamestop had 1100+ preorders total for MW3 last year IIRC. This with 3 stores (now 2) in a surrounding 5 mile radius .

Exactly. BLOPS overall has more due to it being on 2 major systems, while Halo 4 is an Exclusive title. H4 will still sell a shit-ton and make up the investment in 343 on launch day alone.
My GS had about 25 people as of 5pm PST. I work retail myself at a major retailer and we are also doing a midnight launch, although only 2 people were there at the same time. The GS guys anticipated around 400 people for tonight or a bit more. Since I had trade-ins, I have my stuff at GS and will pick it up around 12:30am, this way most of the crowd will be gone.
