Ron Artests TruWarier Releases Allure CD Through Lightyear/KOCH Entertainment
New York: Lightyear Entertainment is releasing the first album from Ron Artests TruWarier Records on December 14, 2004 Allures Chapter III.
This R & B album features Allure members Alia Davis, Lalisha McLean, and Akissa Mendez and was produced by hitmaker producers Tricky Stewart, the Edmonds Group, and others. The debut single and video, Uh Oh, features a guest turn by dancehall star Elephant Man.
Allures R & B sound was brought to the attention of Artest during his forming of TruWarier Records when the group was looking for a new label to call home. Allures debut album went gold on Mariah Careys Crave Records only to have the label fold. A second album on another label did not come up to the standard set by the first. But now, with a brand new CD full of potential hit singles, Artests backing, and a Lightyear release through KOCH Entertainment in Canada, their third album has all the ingredients necessary for success.

And this is due in no small part to the intelligence and commitment of its Executive Producer, Ron Artest. Our experience with Ron has been totally positive. Holland went on to comment on recent media attention: One of the weird things that I keep seeing is that Ron has a rap album coming out. Why does the media keep saying that? Is it some subtle way of trying to make Ron look like a thug? To clarify, Ron is not the artist on a rap album. Allure is the artist with a high-quality R&B album. This is a female trio with blazing harmonies, great songs, and a strong track record. In this situation, Ron is a businessman, and as such Mr. Artest has been totally professional, totally reliable, and totally a nice guy.
