Powerpuff Girls director Maggie Kiley has taken to Instagram to officially announce that production is now underway on the live-action adaptation of the classic Nickelodeon animated series, giving fans a first look at the show's logo in the process.

We also have an unofficial glimpse of the main cast members in-costume as the super-powered sisters!
A set photo and video of Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dove Cameron (Descendants) and Yana Perrault (Jagged Little Pill) filming a scene as Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup Utonium, respectively, has been shared online via TMZ.

Is this even still popular? Was it ever? I remember it years ago from kids TV, maybe morning or afternoon. And there was a toy line too iirc.
 
It's gonna be a CW show? I thought the original cartoon was aimed at kids, not teens.

Anyway looks like complete trash and I'm already scared of that pink thing.
 
This is the first I'm hearing of this, but I have no interest anything about it except what they might do with some of the non-main characters. The Professor, the mayor and secretary, the bad guys.
 
Turning animated series (where the main characters also become live action) into live action films need to stop.

Have they ever worked? Cant think of any.

It's not a movie.

It's a low budget cable show probably on right after supergirl

GAF is not their target audience

Who asked for this? Who is this for? I think the fact there are so many media options has actually diluted the content pool so much that it's nearly impossible to create anything truly great and even harder to actual build an audience around it.
 
I think you guys will end up surprised at what this will end up being if Riverdale is any indication.

I can only hope that if they manage to adapt Totally Spies, that the Riverdale team is behind it.

Hopefully extremely, and overtly sexualized just like Riverdale. That's what makes that show fun, they lean into the stupid.

The alternative is what you guys are currently complaining about.
