PPSSPP is a great emulator. Seemingly runs on any Linux retro handheld at good speeds, as well as retro emulator consoles like the NES Classic.

Well, it won't run great on the low powered ones or NES/SNES Classic.

But if you have a decent Android emu handheld or any PC with Nvidia 10 series and up, you would be fine. Heck, integrated graphics from AMD like 780m would be good as well.

Something as inexpensive as Retroid Classic or Anbernic's T618 and T820 based handhelds would do great as well.
