Pragmata PC Performance Raises Concerns for 8 GB GPU Users, Digital Foundry Reports

Doubt. Retail at these places is often a snapshot of real demand from gamers. I think the majority of Nvidia gaming GPUs are sold from prebuilts or used for AI/productivity.
It's not. It's completely irrelevant.

Think about it this way. In the snapshot you posted mind factory sold less than 2000 GPUs.

In that period, 2 million dGPUs were shipped to AIBs.

Can you truly not understand that you are looking at such a small sample, and given it's not selected at random but biased, nearly completely useless as a measurement of overall shipment share?

Anyway you're debating this when it's a fact. Just google Jon Peddie Research AIB dGPU shipment share. That's the actual industry number.

I saw. How do we know that the AIBs are not going to workstations/prebuilts not meant for gaming? Anyway, with AMD upscaling/RT pretty much caught up for the most part w/RDNA 5 (their previous architectures were not purpose built for RT), I don't see how this will continue to be a problem. Only real bottleneck preventing total AMD mid range gaming dominance now is their driver reputation.

Unless you suggest that the highly unpopular, memory hungry and computationally expensive DLSS 5 will gain any traction.

Pre builts are still PCs.

Average selling price for a nvidia Die + Memory Kit is 350-400$ for blackwell. Those are roughly 5060 Ti 16G - 5070.

Aka you can be sure that the gaming division by itself isn't being driven by AI. (Otherwise ASP would be a lot higher).

Nvidia gained a lot of prestige when it became so famous. Many normies are more willing to spend for them. Pushing Nvidia cumulative and shipment shares to all-time highs.
