Im pretty hyped for this...recently televised (non pay, non premium channel) fights have been really weak...but now, now we are getting somewhere.

They saw how UFC made it feel like every fight night you were watching good fights, not Box Car Joe fighting Fat Willy...Im watching.

Keith Thurman has a purse of $1.5 million for tomorrow night's PBC on NBC premiere, the high purse of the card, which will see three fights televised on NBC at 8:30 pm EST from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Nevada State Athletic Commission has Thurman's opponent, Robert Guerrero, at $1.225 million, the third-highest purse on the show.

The second-highest belongs to Adrien Broner, whose $1.25 million purse for his co-feature bout with John Molina just slightly puts him ahead of Guerrero. Molina will make $450,000, which is a little less than opening TV fight A-side Abner Mares, who will earn $500,000 for his fight with Arturo Santos Reyes, whose purse is a mere $20,000 to serve as a stay-busy/tune-up foe for Mares.

Now the day is here, I'll post.

Will be watching tonight, some good fights and a great way to put the superior fighting sport back into the mainstream.

Looks fantastic. It's been a long time since we've seen a set-up like this from UFC or WWE.

It’s a 180,000-pound shrine to boxing, descending from the rafters like a spaceship about to land.

The mammoth light and sound system that will bring Premier Boxing Champions events to life starting Saturday night on NBC, dubbed the “Ring of Honor,” is akin to a high-tech gladiator dome, a fantastic assemblage of circular LED screens, more than 400 computerized lights and the kind of state-of-the-art sound design normally reserved for high-end concert halls.

“What we wanted to create was a cathedral to boxing, with the ring as the altar,” explained PBC lighting designer John Featherstone. For viewers at home, an array of 32 cameras mounted above the ring will create 360-degree images for the audience.

The Card (8:30 pm ET on NBC):

• WBA (Regular) Welterweight Title Bout: Keith Thurman (c) (24-0, 21 KO’s) vs. Robert Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KO’s)

• Junior Welterweight Bout: Adrien Broner (29-1, 22 KO’s) vs. John Molina Jr. (27-5, 22 KO’s)

• Featherweight Bout: Abner Mares (28-1-1, 15 KO’s) vs. Arturo Santos Reyes (18-4, 5 KO’s)

The Odds (via bovada.lv):

• Keith Thurman -600 vs. Robert Guerrero +400

The over/under for rounds is set at 9 1/2 with a +130 comeback on the under and -180 on the over.

For Thurman to win by KO, TKO, or DQ you’re looking at -115, for a decision victory for the champ the line is a better play at +130.

For the underdog, Guerrero, to take a KO, TKO or DQ victory the line is at a monster +1100. A Guerrero decision victory will net you 8 dollars on the dollar and a draw will get you 22.

• Adrien Broner -700 vs. John Molina Jr. +450

The over/under on the rounds is the same as the main event at 9 1/2. The under is even and the over is -140.

Broner to win by KO, TKO or DQ is -130; by decision is +140. For Molina Jr. we’re looking at +800 by KO, TKO or DQ and +1200 by decision. If you want to throw down some change on the rare chance of the fight ending in a draw you’re looking at a +2500 line.

• Abner Mares -2000 vs. Arturo Santos Reyes +900

Again, the over/under on rounds is 9 1/2 here. The oddsmakers are expecting this one to go the distance with the over set at -230 and the under at +160.

Im hoping for Thurman and Molina to win, but Im expecting Thurman and Broner to win.

Broner's outside personality has grown on me though.

Wow. Boxing. It's been a while. I should watch this. It'll probably make me want to kick it old school with some Fight Night.

If Broner wins, and I expect him to. I hope he fights the winner of Thurman/Guerrero.

He is too big for 140.

I dunno how i feel about primetime boxing now.

Its less raw and they need to hold back their personality.

My girlfriends family bought layla ali's house and their plumbing was absolutely fucked because she apparently would try flushing absolutely everything down the toilet.

The only off thing about free TV is that guys like Broner can't come out to their usual music with all the foul language and shit.

Does the fight air at 9:30 EST?

edit: nope looks like NBC here is going to show it an hour after it happens, what a joke

I take it Michael Buffer is under contract with HBO?
He makes a million per appeance. I would never pay him. No one really notices and certainly no one is watching for him. Yeah yeah production values but still don't think he could be worth near that.
