Certain styles of talking resonate more with some and less with others. Trump's style is a brash Northeastern style it seems, and while it doesn't appeal to me much, the "simple" and "direct" nature of it appeals to others that I know.

Humans are weird like that.

Not sure how the hell you came to that conclusion from the guy who literally said that he would bomb a foreign nation's fleet carrier if they didn't respect us and it wouldn't start a war, or that China should invade North Korea.

I had to pause it and get back to it to cook dinner.

Trump started off pretty polished, in his off the cuff way and the political establishment criticism was working well for him.. but by the mid-section he was fucking lost.

Trump literally had no clue and deflected almost every question by the mid point.

His cybercrime takes were fucking bonkers and showed he had no clue what he was talking about, same with NATO, Iran, Afghanistan, global warming... anything outside of trade.

...but what Trump doesn't understand is that if US companies didn't move out they'd have gone out of business.. causing more job losses. We are long past the point of creating tariff's to even up the market... not going to happen.

Local news (Fox 5 DC) had quite a few viewers say Trump had the edge in the debate, many of which were pretty young.

What really concerns me is that these are the people who think a question on cyber terrorism answered with "My son is good at the computer" is clever.

I think Trump hit enough spots to please his backers. I'd like to think the absence of anything concrete, the repetition of vague hyperbole, in any and all of his answers, the racist undercurrents will hurt him with everybody else but I dunno. This is a weird year. There are a lot of disenfranchised white people out there who are ripe for his message, such as it is. It's clear he's aiming squarely at them and nobody else. I wish Clinton would come out of her shell a bit, show more humanity-- though she got better as the debate went on. At the end, I wish she would have hit him with something like, "after all the bullying you've done, you're complaining about me being mean to you?"

Donald Trump just had the worst debate performance in modern American presidential history. His strategy for the next debate appears to be to attack the first female candidate for president in American history for her husband's adultery.

Thought she wiped the floor with him. I was really impressed with her performance. Not gonna matter to his base, but hopefully will sway more mainstream undecided voters.

The funny thing is he doesn't even understand why the fuck China puts up with NK and still accepts trade with them. China doesn't like NK, but they don't want them to fail.. as it'd be horrible for China.

The establishment agenda? By that you mean Hillary's platform that is an antithesis to Trump's white nationalist one? Get the fuck out of here. Get a reality check. You and others like you are deluded. Just as Hillary said to Trump, you live in your own reality.
