So went to go claim my weekly free Prime games (GoG versions of Hellslave and True Fear 2), and apparently it's just part of Luna now? Says Luna Standard.

It still gives you the free games, so I guess can just ignore it. There's lots of titles on there though, it's not just junk. Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones Great Circle, Resident Evil 2 remake to name some of the more recent ones.

Not sure I'd be interested to pay for Luna, but already having Prime, included Luna actually seems pretty good. Has anyone had any experience with it?

They announced back in October 2nd that they made the dumb decision to kill their much more recognizable Prime Gaming naming brand in favor of trying to boost awareness of their Game Streaming service that nobody talks about using.

Luna is the better brand, Prime gaming is generic. Amazon is finally streamlining.

I'm sure Amazon saw the Luna Reddit and said to themselves "This sub 100 upvote community needs to be represented! Let kill the Prime branding and rename it to Luna that will surely change things for the better around here"

Nah, it's at 2200 now, but that sub is official, and run by the Amazon Luna team. Luna also has /r/Amazonlunahub and /r/lunacloudgaming community subs with total of 5-7k.

You do realize, Luna is Amazon's Cloud Gaming service that has EA FC 26 and Madden 26 exclusively. Amazon also has the 1st or 2nd biggest Datacenter infrastructure along with Azure.

Now with exclusive games, they will start to grow, MS is loaning Indiana Jones to them.

Well your free to enjoy the name rebranding and the service itself if you like as for myself I don't touch Game Streaming services and I don't care what they decide to call the service just as long as they keep giving me my free games that I claim each month.

The rebranding is still dumb. Prime Gaming is instantly recognizable while 99% of gaming populace go "WTF is Luna".

It always surprises me when companies abandon their hugely recognizable brands voluntarily, not as a result of negative things happening around them.
