Prince of Perisa: Warrior Within impressions

I went to WAGs boutique and all I got was a sniff
I dont think I am very far through the game and its a bit difficult to describe where I am, but so far, Ive enjoyed this game quite much.

I loved the first Prince of Persia. the atmosphere was great, created by beautiful visuals, stunning setting and fitting music. In this installment, it doesnt all quite go together.

The past Island of Time looks better than the first, but I cant seem to like the present Island of time. In the past, you have the golden colour and gardens, which give the game a much better feel. In the present, everything is just grey. I understand that its an important part of telling the story, but they could have made it more interesting.

To make things even worse is the music. The music is so bad that i play this game on mute. Prince Of Persia :SOT had very very nice music. In this game, they've gone and degarded the music so much. Its abysmal.

The gameplay is still some of the best platforming you can find today. very similar to the first, but there wasnt a flaw in the first one, so why change to formula. i am impressed with the combat too. I found it difficult to get used to, but now Im ok.

As for the story, its nothing too special. I think it loses to PoP: SOT. The first one was told like a stroy and made the game feel better. With Warrior within, you get nothing more than a load of unneccessary blood and guts.

I have one question about the story though. Does the Dahaka kill anyone that opens the sands of time or does he kill anyone that was supposed to die but somehow managed to escape it.

Overall, Im happy with it, but I miss the things that made Sands of Time so memorable.
