Understandable...Reportedly the G29 will be licensed to Sony for use on the PS3 and PS4
That doesn't follow...meaning the wheel won't be compatible or released for PC.

I suppose it could launch like the DFP, which was PS2 only but with semi-official drivers for PC from 'wingmanteam', before becoming part of the main Logitech Gaming Software package. Are they just basing that on the fact that it is made for the PS4, or did Logitech whisper something in their ears.

5:00AM, time progression real-time
That was a fantastic 30 minutes of driving.
The time progression was perfect for this. Sun was just on the horizon, behind the trees coming over the hill into the last corner. By about 15 minutes in, the sun was starting to peek over the trees, blinding me a bit, but looking beautiful. Track was shaded but the billboards overhead had that first morning light on them.Love that track with the GT cars.
I always tend to accelerate the ToD and have several weather slots, though.
No rain, mind.

I don't usually care too much about day/night cycles and weather and all but this was a downright heavenly drive.
And yes, fuck rain.

Will do, sounds good.Try thick fog at dawn, clearing slowly to clear blue skies - it looks utterly awesome.
The variable ToD and different atmospherics is a brilliant feature. It really helps to make racing the same tracks feel fresh and different, much much more than I ever thought it would. It really should be compulsory in all driving games from now on.

Rain should be banned though.
i like rain in the F1 games. Shakes things up and racing through the spray behind cars and struggling to see turns on a track you know well is tense and fun in it's own way.
It just doesnt really fit in this game if the AI isnt being affected by it. Just fucks the player.
That's the last time I'm going to post that particular leaderboard. I'll continue to update it of course, so keep posting times for as long as you'd like. 37 entries, that's outstanding, gents!
I'll be posting a brand new challenge either tonight, or tomorrow morning.
Morning chaps. Given how much i love DC with its social aspects with many other GAF dudes, i'm interested in getting into aswell. I'm on PS4 of course so what do i need to do to get these TT events? I've only been playing career mode so i'm wet behind the ears with everything else.
Just set it up using the stated car/track combo and post your best time. Couldn't be simpler..!
Sonoma short? Come on!
There are official hotlap 'events' posted by the devs, which are essentially time trials on a countdown, but Big Takeover is picking his own combos - I don't think there is a way to create your own hotlap event. The time trial is a separate function in the menus - if you pick the car and track through this function, it'll be on the right settings, i.e. no tyre wear, fuel locked to 5 litres, and a fixed time of day. Your times will then appear on the leaderboards page.Ok so there's no function as such in the game itself, some sort of online event etc etc? SO do the above and post a photoshopped image?
Hotlap Challenge #3
Alpine A450 @ Sonoma (short)
Time Trial mode, Run it however you'd like. All platforms/skill levels/aids/controllers are welcome. An accompanying screenshot or video would be great, but it's not mandatory. If you've got a really competitive time, it gets a little more so though ;-)
Have fun!

This is a nice and efficient challenge. Really short lap time, glued car. I'm predicting a very tight field!

Is the DS4 any good for this game yet? I really want to pick it up but lost interest when everyone was complaining early about horrible pad controls. I would love a wheel but I don't have $600 to burn.

Apparently I suck at OBSing. I never manage to turn it on properly. The cockpit replay is a poor substitute for the realtime recording, so all I can offer is another TV cam of my lap. It's better than nothing as it's important to know where I've been naughty or niceGet rekt, 50 meter board!

Pretty darn happy with it. Video is a cockpit replay (same view I drive in) featuring the ghost of Big Takeover. Don't like losing frames when trying to trim fractions of a second off.
I think the only part of this course that a wheel helps is the early turns where the track isn't level, you can't quite tell if you're slipping and when it's totally safe to throttle it hard. Might be wrong, but that's from my previous experience of using a wheel and no longer having one.
Yea, I cant really drive this car/track combo. I'm crashing or spinning all the time. I can probably get down to a low-mid 1:04, but putting a lap together is proving too frustrating.
Nah, didn't like this one, car a bit twitchy, track doesn't really flow for me, turn 3 is a nightmare, not very enjoyable, could go faster, made a lot of mistakes in this lap, just not fun enough to try!!
