Project Hail Mary - Final Trailer

Cinema is back!

Damn, good news for theaters.

I'm curious what made this film so different from 99% of the streaming slop we get from netflix, amazon, etc even with big $$$ budgets, directors, and actors involved. Would 6 Underground have looked better on the big screen? Rebel Moon? The Grey Man? I wonder if there was some sort of fundamentally different way it was made that set it apart in a way that can make future films more predicably "theater worthy" versus "streaming slop".

For starters, it originated with good source material, and was then adapted by a guy who has a good track record for adaptations, and the producers were people who actually gave a damn about the quality.

Finally watched it after a lot of hype - what a let down…my fault because I didn't like Martian either. I did think this was better than Martian tho.

My vibe for space movies is more like interstellar, contact. Not really like ET…I guess I just wasn't in the mood for something this wholesome.

So the movie made a full return to Imax for a week and I found out just now. Unbelievable!

Finally got to see this last night! I missed it in the theaters, just never made the time to go see it. My brother bought the digital version so we went down to watch it in his 12' screen theater room.

What a great film, we loved it! Probably the best new film I've seen since Top Gun Maverick. I loved The Martian too, I just really vibe with Andy's writing style I guess.

I love Interstellar too and I think I'd honestly rate PHM a bit above Interstellar. They are both great films IMHO so its hard to put them in a pecking order, same with The Martian. I wish we got more great sci fi like these nowadays.
