PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

It's even BETTER *better* better when you just disable the touch all together and put them on the <R and R> as God intended.

You touch perverts make me sick.

It's one of the benefits for PS+ members (like on the PS3), and is found under Settings > Playstation Network > Automatic Updates.

you sure? wouldnt that just auto update my games? i want my saves to automatically save back to the cloud after i make progress in a game.

There's a sub-option for Cloud Saves. You can choose what things get automatically updated.

But I need to set <R and R> to R1 and R2 so I can control the camera with a stick! As god *later* intended all along, as the technology improved.

You can now reassign basically every single button on a PSX controller to whatever you want, including touch surfaces.

Finally. I dunno why they put it (L/R2) on the back-touch in the first place. Maybe now we can put the least used buttons on the touch-screen and move L/R2 if important to the face buttons. No more silly back-touch...

why the hate? backtouch is awesome if used right.

Why would you do this, even if you don't like the games? At least get it in your download list.

A little disappointed it doesn't prompt you to back up to the cloud automatically like the PS3. :(
Change your setting in the PSN section to upload saves automatically.

Here's my t@g code in case anyone wants it. Only for Vita 3G. Dunno the hell this is, don't even own a PSVita.

For all the other tweaks they did, I'm surprised there is still no visual difference between games on board and cart game icons. I mean just ghost them or something.

I did the firmware update and enabled auto-updates before bed. I woke up this morning with my Vita's blue notification light blinking. It auto-downloaded patches for 2 games and a few apps. Very nice :)

Where would the cheapest place be to buy a US PSN+ Subscription??? Amazon currently has it for $50 but would be great if I can get it a bit cheaper (BTW I am in Australia and refuse to pay the ridiculous marked up prices we get over here).

You can get a year US sub on eBay for about $40 usually. Sometimes it's actually 12 separate months. They email you e code(s).

Edit: I can't personally vouch for this guy, but he has very good feedback. Might be worth emailing him and verifying that he is emailing the codes, not mailing cards.

There's still no way to tell what game cart is in there either without opening it.

This would actually be a welcome addition. When you first insert a cart, the bubble will shake to show you what game it is but, once you do something else, the shaking goes away. Make that permanent, Sony!

Did anyone find a way to get auto-uploading of saves to work or is that still broken?

I think it is finally time for a Vita.

Will wait for a good 150€ like new customer return deal and already have the games I want with PS+, that makes it a financially pretty painless entrance.

The back touch is an abomination. It's the one blight on an otherwise nice piece of hardware.

No, it's just been terribly used in too many applications.

It's great in the Uncharted Scope and Camera Zoom, it's nice on the browser to scroll around, and it was fun on LBP (from what I've played so far) and on Escape Plan.

It's a great idea, it just needs to be used because it's the best option instead of because it is there to be used.

It's a fantastic service. I unsubbed a month ago, because I'm cutting corners on costs. Seeing this for 12 bucks is just too good to pass up though.

With all the content you get now for PS3 and Vita I would have thought buying a PS+ sub would be a great way of saving money and still playing games.

it'd be better if they just hide any game that need cart so they're not taking my bubble space...

Yes. It's fantastic. And the smaller games I never would have bought? I love that I get to play them and see how fun they are, so I can put my support into the company later.

I meant the horrible rear touch bad controls. No idea how you were suppose to hold the console to avoid hitting the buttons.

Yeah, was playing FF7, and wondered why the "target" symbol was flickering on the enemies during battle. Found out I was touching R2.

hmm... do I have to buy the music unlimited thing from psn or something? I tried the web store but only got a 14 day trial when I logged in.

Hey guys - quick question about transferring cart game saves to digital saves.

I have the physical Gravity Rush, but want to sell it back so I can just use the free PS+ digital release. Is there any way to use the cloud save or transfer the save to the PsVita so I don't have to start again?

Thanks!

Ahh at least that now should be gone with the new FW so you can move the mapping elsewhere.

You should just transfer the save to the cloud (you need to have PS+), then download the digital version of the game and download your save from the cloud.

If you are unsure then backup your cart save to your PC before you do it just in case.

If you d/l straight from the psn store, you get a 60-day trial. I'm about 2 weeks in and I'm wondering if my year gets tacked on to the back end of that or what? I may have to call them...

This is precisely the answer I was hoping for - you know that this works?

Thanks!

Yes you have to buy it from the PS Store after tonight's update to get in on the $12 PS+ price.

All other PSN subs stack so I expect this to be the same.

Based on personal experience, the digital copy of the Gravity Rush should recognize the save file without any issue.
