PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

Is Music Unlimited any good compared to other offers? I'm really considering it since contrarily to Deezer and Spoitify, it does work in Japan.

i've subscribed since it launched in japan (because, yes, no other options) and it's pretty good yeah. at this price it's a total steal.

I got the music unlimited deal, it's pretty much the same price for that as a month of rdio, which is much better considering how I don't use it as much as you would expect to use a monthly service.

i wonder if you can buy multiple years. i might do that if so, seeing as 2 years would cost the same as what i previously (and fairly happily) paid for about two and half months' worth.

i should note that music unlimited does have some fairly horrendous software on just about every platform, but it does get the job done.

I'm probably going to need a new memory card soon. I'd make backups on my PS3 but that's got like 4GB left on its 250GB HDD. Godamn PS Plus is filling up all my storage grrr... firstworldproblems.jpg

That and I greatly appreciate the Wifi-enabled Content Manager. It's much, much better.
You still have 7gigs free dude, you can last for a while longer. My entire memory card is 7gigs...

Nope, I already tried it, lol.

Just bought Modnation Racers: Road Trip as it was £4.79. The 20% discount has stacked on the 50% off it already was until today that discount ends today so if anyone wants to buy the game, get it now.

I think I am getting a PS Vita for Christmas this year, but I don't want to miss out on anything from PS+ ... is there a way to just "purchase" the free content that was put on PS+ before owning a Vita, so that when I do get it, I can download it?

I have access to a PS3 and PSP, but I don't have a Vita at the moment.

Sometimes I don't intend on playing the free content from PS+ on my PS3 but I tick the download button so I can go into my history to grab it incase it expires.

Yes, on PS3.

I might be living in Japan next year, so I might as well subscribe to Music Unlimited. I heard the other streaming services are not available in that neck of the wood. Plus, how can I say no to a year subscription for only $12?! It'll save me a lot of money when it comes to music.

Didn't realise this. Dilemma deepened! D:

Sorry to do this to you! Yes, the 50% off sale finishes today 21st November, so from tomorrow it will be 20% off the normal price of £11.99.

I was wondering if the discount would stack because I was close to buying it before. For less than a fiver I certainly don't mind if it's not the best game in the universe!

Oh wow, $12 a year for PS+ members. I didn't see this. I'm thinking it's worth a burger and fries to try out the service.

How do I exactly extend my subscription to a year? I am currently on the trial, and I would like to take advantage of this offer.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Sigh.

I just deleted JSR. I don't know if it's because I changed, the port sucks, or the game has just not aged well, but the controls are just freaking terrible and frustrating. Not to mention that some of the level design really leaves you scratching your head.

The game has not aged well. I've been amazed at how frustrating it is, but have clear memories of the games having camera woes and fiddly controls back in the day. Just didn't remember them being this bad.

Yeah, I gave up after a few levels when I realized I just wasnt having fun playing it. Come to think of it I remember getting board of it on Dreamcast after a while as well.

Also I never played Final Fantasy Tactics before, dear God I am terrible at it. :|

You just have to survive the first little bit and then the map will open up and allow you to move back and forth to do random battles. Do those and grind a few class levels if you can. You can also "delevel" later so don't worry about your level/stats too much right now.

But you want to get SP/job unlocks as quick as you can so you can start branching out. There's no time limit, BTW. You can do three years of back and forth in that opening bit and the story won't progress, so don't worry.

Also JSR's problem is the controls/gameplay. The lack of magnetic rails hurts it. The game has aged (outside of the controls) pretty fine, but putting it next to JSRF outdates it completely.

The wait for Black Friday sales is hard. I used a Vita playing PSAS today. Hated the game, but loved the feel of the device. And for a store unit that's been abused for many months, the sticks are still very lively. Nice build quality, Sony.

Ah ok well that helps, not to derail too much but Im assuming jobs just unlock automatically as you grind?

That sounds like what I remembered. I liked Jet Set Radio Future more.

There's a 60 day trial offer if you signup via the PS3 app and a 14 day trial if you sign up via the MU site, try it out and see if their library suits your taste.

Is anyone else having trouble with Music Unlimited? It was working fine for me a few minutes ago but now I can't log in, it keeps reverting to the Japanese site and on my Vita I keep getting "A connection to the server could not be established. Please close the application."

Yes. Getting really frustrated with it. Problems like crazy.

I've complained about this before, but goddamn at the download times for 1.8 Gbs. For all the complaining about the Wii U download being slow, PSN is consistently a slug.

Me too.

I'm getting it too. Been using it a few weeks, this is definitely a new issue

It must be down. I'm simply getting "Network Unavailable" on my iPhone

Same. I think they're just getting slammed.

Are there any discounts on a year of ps+. I remember at some point in the past the 1 year cards were 40 rather than the current price of 50.

yeah that deal looked too good to be true.....they got me with the "limited time offer"....I'm surprised I fell for it that fast..lol.

I was using it last night and enjoyed it...I have it on my Vita and my smartphone now.

Only thing I don't like is i'm horrible with spelling and trying to remember certain songs and artist. So when I try to search for stuff, it doesn't assist you like Google basically. If you get 3+ letters correct in a row, that helps...but otherwise no.

Yep, I've been saying this since the PS3/Vita port was announced. I recently played the DC version for the first time and it sucks, seriously. As you point out the camera and controls are terrible, and as for the 'tutorial'...

JSRF was such a big upgrade. I initially wrote it off because the original was such a turn off. But Sega literally took every flaw that I had with JSR and improved it ten fold. I really hope they decides to port it. It was one of my favorite game last gen.

Has something with downloading from the PS Store changed in 2.00? I've been trying to download JSR and Uncharted and my downloads keep pausing a few moments after the vita goes to sleep. Doesn't matter whether I let it sleep on its own or if I hit the power button to do it.

I remember the vita doing this before as well and it was fixed in some update.

Downloaded Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and some other bits all in one hit yesterday with the Vita in sleep mode and it was fine. I didn't put it in manually, just let it sleep by itself.
