PS+ June: Killing Floor 2 and Life is Strange

I played the Life is Strange demo and fairly instantly knew the following:
1) It's very well made, and
2) It is absolutely not for me. My skin was crawling from the dialogue within 10 minutes. No doubt to teens or whoever it's all natural, but as a dude in my mid-30s it all sounds artificial and I have no interest in teen high school drama anyway.

You'd be surprised at how much the story resonates emotionally later on. It's only like a 5 hour romp, so you might as well give it a chance.

When will Sony stop PS3 Plus support?

They stopped manufacturing the console yet they keep forcefully support it with some pretty lousy games for the 3 people who still care, it's not that it bothers me but if PS4's Plus can be better if they would stop supporting it than please do, I'm sure most of the fan base would prefer that.

Abyss Odyssey is actually pretty cool and you can play co-op.

Really good month. Already played LiS on PS3 so Ill play it again on PS4, shooters are never bad either.

Mostly excited for neon chrome though, twin stick shooters are one of my favorite genres.

Neon Chrome is a solid dual stick shooter by the people that brought us the absolutely amazing Crimsonland. It's more structured than Crimsonland - you're going through rooms in a building, climbing floor by floor, and things you do in one game might unlock new room types / characters / weapons / perks for later run throughs.

Overall, I preferred Crimsonland because that was just a primer in how to do technical dual stick shooters, but Neon Chrome isn't anything to sneeze at.

I'm excited to play KF2! I've always been interested, but never pulled the trigger.

I've already played LiS. For those that haven't, you're in for quite a emotional rollercoaster!

Yeah it had a pretty piss poor start but it grew me on big time and became one of my favourite games.

Another adventure game hitting PS+. LiS is good fun (outside of its controversial ending), but I've played it already. Curious about KF2, at least.

Life is Strange is an awesome inclusion. That's a game that went from cringe to "oh" super fast. Very well made, and a worthwhile experience.

So here's the thing: Sometimes, characters are written a certain way for a later point of contrast. I had a very similar reaction to yours, then kept playing and enjoyed it. Also, young people are terrible.

Quoting from the other thread.

Killing Floor 2 has one of the best PS4 Pro support ever: Maxed out graphics even the textures (except the NVidia FLEX features), higher resolution and all that in steady 60 FPS.
I wish Life Is Strange had PS4 PRO support too. I am sure this game could run easily in Native 4K on PS4 PRO.
I hope the sequel will have PS4 PRO support and use UE4.

Neon Chrome is Native 4K too.
Great month. I hope this will open the path for more great months.

Good the see that the rumor was true. One of the best months in a while.

Is killing floor fun with groups of just 2 or 3 or do you really need a whole team?

I bet Codemasters is thrilled that Sony is giving away a rally game right before DIRT 4 is released.

Someone give me motivation to finish through LiS. I can't help but cringe on the dialogue when I play.

You get the choice to let a terrible and annoying person suffer. I honestly thought the story was okay, though I guess that depends on what type of personality you have. I have no sympathy for annoyingly stupid characters.

KF2 is a nice co-op prefunk for E3.

1) The likelihood that PS4 support would improve if they just dropped those pesky PS3 games is minimal to none.

2) Abyss Odyssey is supposed to be quite good, or at least interesting.

3) The idea in general that because a platform is old it's no longer worth supporting is something I disagree with, though if I actually thought it would improve support for recent consoles I would at least understand. But see #1.

4) I actually want to see how WRC 5 is, even though I feel like the WRC games are mediocre at best and I own Dirt Rally on PC.

Life Is Strange is a fantastic game if you can get into its headspace. It was my favourite game of 2015.

KF2 somehow totally flew under my radar, I don't even remember hearing about it before, but it looks fun, looking forward to checking it out.

I actually purchased the game on PC. Had the same reaction after plowing through it for 2 hours...also a dude in his mid 30's.

I might give it another shot with my 15 year old daughter.

Is Life is Strange 60fps on PS4? I already have it on Steam but I would rather play it on PS4 if it's not 30fps there.
